SkyboxTV ripoff ..just another tactic to misinform the consumer

On 12/11/01, I ordered the Skybox satellite system. The offer consisted of 2 satellite receivers, 1 satellite disk, free installation and 1 month of free service with access to 500 channels.

As of today's date I have not received any service or equipment. On 12/31/01, I called the company at this number (678) 417-6301 and an actual person did answer. I suggest that you call it too if you want to cancel your order and get your account credited. I explained the above and she replied Skybox was experiencing backlog orders due to the Christmas holiday but my unit had been shipped.

To me this is just another tactic to misinform the consumer. I know now this offer was to good to be true, especially after reading the other ripoff reports from other consumers. I recommend that you immediately contact your credit card company to inform them of this ripoff and refute the charges. If the unit does arrives be sure not to open the boxes and mark on the boxes return to sender and you won't be charged for the return postage.
