On March 6, 2006, I was on the internet. Somehow I got into a pop-up that I could not get out of. What the pop-up was offering looked interesting, so I kept going. After looking, the page offered a "7- day free sample" of White Over Nites. Further down, the offer said the the only thing that I had to pay was $3.95.
So I signed up. I read the terms of agreement and entered my card infomation. I got my conformation and printed my receipt. The total on the receipt was $3.95.
The next day, I was sent an email, telling me that I was going to be automatically enrolled in an Auto-Ship which was not free. It cost $99 dollars. I thought nothing of it because I thought that they would contact me before they assumed that I wanted to be enrolled in to anything.
Nine Days later, I see a deduction from my account for $106.90 for WhiteOverNite. Keep in mind that the receipt I have is only authorized for $3.95. They took it upon themselves to deduct the $99 for the auto ship program that I never gave agreeance to.
When I called the company, the represenative that I spoke with (Lola) was basically the b***h that I perceived her to be. She was not listening to what I was saying, but insisted on telling me that I knew about the $99 program. I didn't. When I asked to speak to a superviser, I was told that a superviser was not availible to talk to me. What kind of customer service is that? You call a customer service center, and a customer service supervisor is not availible to talk to the customers!!!!!
I only authorized $3.95, that's what I expected to be deducted. Not the other $99.
