Complaint Review: Skyle Models & Talent (aka) Emily Skyle

I used to work for Emily Skyle of Skyle Models & Talent. She has offices in Chicago, IL and Oklahoma City, OK.

I helped her book models in the Oklahoma City area. Also, my husband and I did actual talent jobs for her.
She tells her employees that there is a 90 day waiting period to get paid. So I waited. After the 90 days she never returned my calls. After 6 months, I found her and she said she would mail me a check. She never did. After 8 months, I hired an attorney and she sent Ms. Skyle a certified letter requesting payment. Ms. Skyle refused to sign for it and it was returned.

My attorney took on a very time consuming case and is always busy, so I have to start all over with another attorney. She owes me for a commercial I did in Dec 2002, a very large booking I did in Feb 2003, audits my husband did in Mar 2003, plus money for some small bookings I did during the months listed.

It has now been over 1 year and we still have not been paid! I am aware of at least 4 models she has not paid for work performed as well. However, she only owes them between $75-$150 each and they are just writing it off. I would too if she didn't owe me $1,200.

I did the work for her because I really needed the money -not for fun. If anyone has experience with this woman, please share it here. If you are thinking about working for her, don't. She is very convincing but in the end, you will be sorry.
