Complaint Review: Skyline Publishing of Peoria Illinois

As a member of staff at Skyline Publishing, I see the ins and outs of daily operations. It is hurtful to read these inaccurate comments made about a company I am proud to work for. Is Skyline Publishing perfect? No, no one is. Does Skyline Publishing make mistakes and errors? Yes, everyone does. Does Skyline Publishing do everything possible to correct mistakes? Yes!

We have been in business many years now and continue to be very successful because of this. We sell advertising over the phone to thousands of customers every year so there are plenty of opportunities for error. Whether the issue is someone claims to never have purcahsed the ad, never wanted the ad, the ad is wrong, never got a proof, etc we make them all right. We provide documentation in the form of either a signed contract or a verbal contract on recording. We have a very specific process we go throught to make sure that we are speaking with the correct person and that they are purchasing the ad. If someone has received their proof and it needs changes we have a proofing process in place that allow ample time to make those changes. If someone claims to never have received the proof, we send them another copy.

We understand in todays economy you have to be picky and no one wants to waste money. We also understand there are several scamming companies out there (we have been victims ourselves) and you have to be careful who you work with. I would rather take the time to show a customer we are legitimate and honest and when they feel comfortable they can purchase the ad rather than push them through and have someone suspect us of wrongdoing because they simply didn't know about us.

If any current or potential clients have any questions or concerns I hope that you contact us and we would be happy to help you. I also want to address a comment on this thread about our BBB rating. Every year the BBB reevaluates each business and adjusts their rating accordingly. Our rating last year was A-. Our rating this year is A-. I highly doubt the BBB would give a company an A- if they were a scam.

Anyone with PHOTOSHOP & a printer can do much better the site you suggested to visit only consisted of plain projects DO IT YOURSELF PEOPLE

To begin with, I would like to state I am an employee of Skyline Publishing and proud to be a part of this company. If I've noticed one thing about dealing in human relations it is that you cannot please everyone. No matter what you do or how far you will go for them..well, it's never enough. There is always going to be those handful of people out of thousands and thousands that we do business with that, no matter what, you just cannot make them happy. These are those difficult spoon fed individuals that make big scenes at resturants and always want something for nothing. Anyone and everyone knows that you cannot please everyone, no matter what you do. I have worked here for 7 months and enjoy going to work everyday. We help small, large, and even huge corporate companies each and every day with their advertising needs. I totally disagree with this persons statement of there being no distribution points. We have a distribution department that handles contacting sites and locations for the distribution of our maps and relocation guides. Even project coordinators creating the maps and guides personally set-up distribution points, as well. If you hear noise in the background of any busy advertising company I wouldn't be too worried.  As you know, a publishing company consists of alot of talking, faxing, e-mailing, and conversing over the phone in a very fast paced atmosphere. I would be more worried of a silent and slow atmosphere where you can hear a pin drop, that is just plain unrealistic! We all know anyone with a pulse can log into this website and pretty much say what they want. It could be a disgruntled ex-employee for all we know because they hide behind a login name. I have nothing to hide, my name is Adele(although names are not allowed here) and I would do anything as far as bending over backwards to help businesses get exposure... THATS MY JOB. I can't count how many times I've had business owners call back to personally thank me for helping them. Our company has been doing this for years and we pick up new cities and counties everyday. For each new year we have many satisified customers return for our business. As far as the comment concerning  "a job terribly done", you can be the judge by visiting and viewing samples at www.skylinepub.com.  I would think such a company that is "fly by night" would be around just long enough to take the money and run. Guess in this case we are just the opposite of that. I have a great boss that is very respectable and a supervisor that is knowledgeable, helpful, and always courteous to each customer she speaks with. "Skyline Publishing" is a great company that provides a much needed resource to the communities worldwide. Please do not believe the negative comments you have read on this site. Thank-You for taking the time to read my side of the story.

Most consumers come to the table as honestly wanting to do business.

This is not the case with Skyline Publishing. While they "may" pass themselves off as a, "family owned business"...One must remember that the Walker spy ring was also a family of thieves. I, like most here,see nothing ethical about this business, and anyone saying anything positive about them must be the same crooks (fake employees) who are still scamming innocent people, and trying to pass themselves off as legitimate. To my knowledge, they have also had state Attorney General interest in their unscrupulous practices. I still have a copy of their fake "relocation brochure"; and will do my best to contact the companies, and forward this great link to them. If I were wrong in this matter, I would apologize (but to date, Skyline has continually proven to the community-at-large that it is indeed a FAKE).Still, as devious as these people at Skyline can be-- one must be moredetermined in exposing their game (and protecting the innocent). Simply put-- I would highly suggest that anyone & everyone having access to this forum, pass it along as: SKYLINE PUBLISHING OF ILLINOISBEING NOTHING MORE THAN A RIP OFF, SCAM PERPETRATING SWEAT SHOP OF THIEVES! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PIECE OF CRAP VENTURE. THE ONLY BUSINESS, SHOULD BE TO EXPOSE THEM OUT OF (THE RIP OFF) BUSINESS!!!

I've been dealing with Skyline Publishing for over 2 years, Great company, Great People. Don't believe what you read here.

I would like to clear our name on this matter! The ex-employee Stacey is wrong! She is upset with us because she was demoted from the collections to the sales floor due to her scheming ways! Our company is a great company to work for! The owner of the company, helped her in anyway possible! He gave her advances on her paycheck to bail her husband out of jail, gave her kids bikes because she couldnt afford them, etc. She stated in her writing that most of the people that work her are pot heads and indulge in alcohol! She is one of them that has been witness by another employee smoking pot as well! For her stating that most of the people are related, thats a lie! The owners of course are married, as well as the general manager and his wife, which is a sales floor manager! That is it! The owner will do anything and everything for his employees! Stacey is so full of crap! I run the layout department and I see what is printed daily! We have been in business for five years plus and if we did what she said, you think we would still be in business?? Stacey only worked in 2 departments! When she worked on the sales floor, the floor manager Gwen caught her lying to customers on a few occasions, and then she also worked in the collections department! Where there she lied to get her payments so she could get her bonus! She ran credit cards from customers after being instructed not to just to get her dollar! She lost that position when the owner of the company caught on to her about lying about her payments! So instead of firing her, like many bosses would have, he gave her a job back on the sales floor! Which she didnt want so she quit! Then, she told unemployment that she was never offer another position and if she was offer one she would of stayed! Well needless to say she was denied unemployment. The owner and I were in his office that day when he offered her the sales floor position! Like I stated before we have been in business for five years plus, and we ship out of here on a daily basis between a 1,000 books and maps to 5,000 a day! We have over 50,000 customers! Our calls go through a strict process! It starts with a sales rep then it goes to a verifier! When our verifier calls, she states This call will be recorded for quality assurance! That right there is a verbal contract! So for Stacy to say we have no contracts thats a lie!

In close, I would like to state Stacey is upset at us because she was denied unemployment! For the other companies she mentioned, dont you people wonder why she doesnt work there anymore? Loyalty Publishing dba Skyline Publishing, is a great family orientated company! The owner will do anything and everything for you! He runs a great company! When any customers runs out of the product they are free to give us a call and order more! We as a company are ashamed that you as a company allows ex-employees to lie and fraud our company! This is slander and it is wrong for you to allow! We will not rebuttal after this! It is ridiculous that people like Stacey have nothing better to do except to sit on her lazy butt and bad mouth a company that was good to her!

Madame or Sir, you are quite correct in assuming that Skyline Publishing DBA Loyalty Publishing is in for the scam and scam only. They are all deceptive ranging from Rodney Lindsey the owner who is also a former employee of Universal Adcom another scam agency.

His minions are Jacey who is the receptionist, she is a hateful excuse for a receptionists she is fat and lazy and hates her job, then you have Jennifer who is a wanna be boss, that is wanna be something more than she is and she is rude she believes if she kisses Rodney's a*s she will forever be spoiled. Wonder if Rodney knows that most of his employees are pot heads who go out on their lunch breaks to indulge in alcohol and marijuana???

 Most of his minions are either related to or married to someone in the company.Then you have Gina, a fat dwarf of a woman who lies to get her way. All the employees are in on the scam and do not care that is why they will tell you anything to make a 27% commission on your dollar.

They have no intentions on sending the product they say they send it 10,000 but the number varies on who pays their bills. It could be 50 sent or 1. The companies main sellers who are Lori, Alvin, Pat, Mechelle, you also have Kat, Kim, Casey among about the other 15 employees, who are trained by Gwen and Jeff to deceive you and  are undeserving and will lie to anyone who seems that they maybe vulnerable.

The ads are actually 450 to 250 but if they think they cannot get you and have no dollar amount on the board then they will drop down their rate to 150.00. But still you will get no book nor will you get an honest answer.

THEY HAVE NO CONTRACTS AND THE DPS GET FREE ADVERTISING, BUT THEY ONLY RECIEVE 50 BOOKS TOPS BECUASE THEY DO NOT HAVE A PRODUCTION DEPT, THEY HAVE SOME COPIERS AND THEIR AD DEPT IS A GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW HOW TO COPY AND PASTE TO MAKE AN AD.  YOU CAN DO THIS YOUR SELF AND SAVE THE MONEY!!!!

If Jennifer is calling you about your bill just tell her you will report her to the BBB or Attorney Generals office and she will have to place your "invoice" in the circular file if you know what I mean. She may sound tough, but her bark is worse then her bite. There is nothing they can do to you believe me they have tried to scare others and have failed! But she is not the ring leader she is a minion to Rodney and that is all.

And you are right the whole set up is a "boiler room" they only care about ringing the bell and getting on the board. Beware of these companies as well Royal Publishing, Elite Publishing, Universal Ad com, Solid Oak Marketing they are all run to get ads for specific programs but have no legitimacy whatsoever. Good luck to you and I hope that more business owners put a foot in their asses for they deserve to be sued for malicious practice and fraud!!!!!!
