I had my Vaser Lipo in  November 2011 and had my follow up, 6 month later, I still had a huge lump of fat around my belly button, the size of my palm, they scheduled me for the follow-up surgery in June 2012. The first appointment they called and told me the Dr. had a  family Emergency and had to cancel, they re scheduled for the following month, and called to tell me the summer schedule had to be redone because the doctor was over scheduled. They said they will contact me with the third reschedule, they never called back 2 weeks had past so I called back 3 different times, and they kept telling me they will call me back.
I finally got hold of someone that left me on hold over 15 minutes and finally told me that they were bought over by a new company, and Dr. LaGrassio was no longer with the new company, and someone at their corporate office will call me.
Still no call back got hold of someone else, she told me Dr. LaGrassio just got rehired and someone will call me bak with an appointment. Few days later I called and the person said due to the New Company buy over, I will have to pay an additional fee for the nurse and procedure but the Doctor will complete the surgery for no charge. I agreed reluctantly, but I wanted to complete the surgery I paid them $5000, on my care credit, card, which they applied for and charged. When I tried last week to find out about the appointment I hear "Mail Box Full" and a disconnect, I tried NY location, Boca Raton all the same thing. I paid off the card recently but I have not completed the surgery, I have a huge lump on my belly.

It is extremely unfortunate that this person and others were victimized by the shoddy and disreputable business practices of Sleek Medspa. It's also understandable that mistreated clients feel that innocent parties may be guilty by association. However, nothing is further from the truth. Keeping that in mind, some clarification is warranted regarding Dr. LaGrasso's involvement with Sleek Medspa.

Dr. LaGrasso is a respected board certified plastic surgeon who was hired as an independent contractor by Sleek Medspa to perform certain medical procedures. He has absolutely no management or proprietary interest in the company and never has. He had no knowledge of these transgressions until the complaints were made. In fact, before it closed its doors, Dr. LaGrasso had already parted ways Sleek Medspa because of payment checks, made out to him, that failed to clear the bank. In addition, he personally continues to seek legal remedies, both criminal and civil, against the actual owners of Sleek Medspa regarding their business practices and contractual obligations to Dr. LaGrasso.

More importantly, Dr. LaGrasso is compassionate towards these clients. He displays a sense of moral outrage regarding the reprehensible treatment of Sleek Medspa's victims. In a recent interview, Dr. LaGrasso stated, "Part of The Hippocratic Oath is often misquoted as 'Do No Harm.' Still, it IS a fundamental tenet of reputable physicians. This includes business abuses as well as medical practices and procedures. I am not here to take advantage of or mistreat my patients, neither medically nor financially."

In the simplest of terms, if a bank president is accused of embezzling funds, you don't blame the bank teller. Dr. LaGrasso's involvement in these accusations should be viewed in the same light as he is blameless in the dishonorable business operations of Sleek Medspa.
