Do not waste your time seeking a cosmetic procedure at Sleek Medspa Ft. Lauderdale. On a Saturday, I put down half as a deposit for Vaser Lipo for my abs. The staff and doctor were sooo nice and patient, I was sure to be on my way to sexier abs for the summer. However, something just didn't sit right (my consultant telling me not to go anywhere else because Dr. LaGrasso is the ONLY ONE in South Florida who is certified), so I decided to google reviews and stumbled across a rip-off report that simply altered my thoughts.

From not refunding money for services not rendered to closing office and not informing patients, I was hoodwinked. Immediately (4 o'clock in the morning), I decided to call American Express to cancel payment. On the following Monday (not even two full days later), I called Sleek to personally cancel the procedure (which was scheduled three weeks later). I was told that I needed to speak with the office manager because she was the only individual who could handle such issues.

Well, a message was left for Jessica (ofc manager) to return my call, for she was on another call. I gave it several hours and called back again. I was then told that my consultant Olivia was the one to handle the situation but she was out of town until Wednesday (two days later). Meanwhile, I disputed the charge with my credit card company and waited to speak with Olivia.

On Wednesday, during my lunch break, I personally went to the center and personally spoke with BOTH my consultant (Olivia) and Jessica (office manager). They tried to sway my mind, but I simply told them that after thinking hard about it, I had changed my mind and request a refund. After spending more time than needed (about 40 minutes because they were trying to con me), it was clear that I no longer wanted the service and that a refund would be granted. Jessica, the ofc manager, stated that this would have to be done at the corporate office and there was no need to worry about it.

Mind you, I just wanted them to do their part because I was confident that AMEX was not going to pay them nor require me to pay for a service I canceled technically the next business day. Well, the report that swayed my mind, was absolutely truthful. The next week (2 weeks prior to surgery), I got a phone call from some chic asking if I could change my surgery date because the doctor will be out of town on the scheduled date. Really??

Didn't I face to face cancel and got the word of the office manager that I will receive a refund?? Even after saying a few nasty-nice words to the receptionist and reminding her that I canceled the services, I received another phone call the next week to confirm my pre-op appt. Seriously? You've got to be kidding me!! I then asked to speak with Olivia, my consultant and asked her why I was still receiving calls.

THE CHIC PLAYED DUMB AS A DOORNOB and said "Really, oh I'm so sorry to hear that." I gave her some nasty-nice words and she said "I'm sorry there was a big miscommunication." WOW. These people are nuts. I figured that since my surgery was a few weeks from my initial consultation and cancellation, they were going to wait for me to "not show up for the surgery" and use that as justification to not refund my money.

Thank God that I used AMEX and not cash like the former reporter. As it stands, AMEX reported that the Sleek never provided the requested information regarding the dispute; therefore, I am not responsible for any payment:) It's a shame because I really wanted the procedure, but now I am searching for a private plastic surgeon. By the way, I wouldn't request any facial procedures from this CLINIC because their models (the staff) are UGLY.
