I arrived at my appointment to find the store boarded up with no forwarding address or phone number. The Braintree Mall information desk had been inundated with similar complaints. They had looked up a number on the Internet to hand out (they had not been provided a forwarding number by Sleek). I called the number and was told by an answering service that someone would call me back. They said that the store had been sold to Boston Surgical in West Roxbury. However I could find no such business on line. The guy on the phone at first told me that I would receive my paid for services but later backed down and told me he was just the answering service when I questioned him further.

I have been going to Sleek for several years and had just purchased a microderm facial package and a photo facial package to the total of $980. I had not yet received any services from my packages. The last 2 appointments I had were cancelled once I was in the office because I was leaving for sun filled holidays (something they want you to avoid after a treatment). I was told that I could reschedule and would not be charged for these appointments (otherwise I would have dome them and used extra sunscreen)!

No warning of their closure was given. In fact I asked them before signing a new contract if they were in imminent danger of closing. The manager told me absolutely not - they were doing really well. Especially since the Braintree location closed. I don't think the staff saw this coming. I have asked American express to dispute the charges to my card. I don't know how this will work. I will still be out treatments that I paid for more than 6 months ago but had not yet received... So in all I will be out more than $1200 if Amex is not successful. I am happy to join into a suit against Sleek. Please join me - this is simply wrong.

I just filed my complaint online with the MA Attorney Generals Office. It was easy to do and if we all file we might get some attention. It only takes a minute... FILE WITH MA ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE... ONLINE! there are a lot of us and we need to come together.
