Purchased a Kingsdown mattress in 2000 with a "lifetime warranty". Fast forward to 2010, the bed was sunken in and broken. Finally got them to the house where they admitted to the defect, but would only credit me for the mattress, not the box springs. Of course when you go to the store to get a new bed, and use your "credit", they won't warranty the new bed unless you buy new box springs. Second scam, Janine the saleswoman talked me into buying a "Temperpedic" mattress since I have back problems.

I was leary but she said "you have 90 days to try it out, if you don't like it, just pay $179.00 and you can return it for something different". Fast forward 90 days, and not one good nights sleep (my back feels awful, the temperpedic has no support) she then says "oh, you had a partial credit, so you would have to have made the return in 21 days". After weeks of fighting with them, the best they would do is $1,000 towards ANOTHER new mattress, after I was already in the hole for almost 4 grand! I will never buy from Sleepys again. Oh, and see you in small claims court!!!

Just over the weekend we went to Sleepy's and attempted to purchase a mattress and box spring.  They refused all our attempts to get credit.  OK, so we put a deposit down on a Simmon's Beautyrest Avondale king set for $1499 on sale.  ($150)

Today, I search the internet, since they have a guarantee to match anyone's price to find that the Avondale mattress has been discontinued for 7 years!

I called the store, and tehya re trying to tell me that this info is wrong, but even the simmons site shows that this set does not exist.  So we are 'waiting' to hear from them.  I told them that I felt that they were misrepresenting the products and that I was goign to cancel the sale.  How can they be selling discontinued products as new with a warrenty??????
