SLOANE TOYOTA UNNECESSARY BRAKE REPAIR GLENSIDE Pennsylvania
My 2002 Toyota Prius was gradually sounding more and more like a schoolbus in low gear, and losing gas mileage in December 2008. I had the front and rear brakes replaced by a mechanically inclined friend, but that didn't solve the problem, so I concluded it was the transaxle (the Prius' automatic transmission). I checked online, and indeed there seems to be an extensive history of Prius transaxle trouble.
I made an appointment with Sloane Toyota, because they were the closest, and I thought I might have to walk home - no previous repairs done there. I told them I thought it was the transaxle, and they said they would check. About an hour later, they called me and said it was NOT the transaxle, but rather the BRAKES (the rotors specifically). Hoping against hope that this was indeed the problem and that Tony had missed something when he changed the brakes, AND figuring that these people were the experts, and should know what they were doing, I said "OK - fix the brakes".
two and a half hours later, they called me up to the counter, and said "the brakes will be $300, but the sound is still there, and NOW we recognize that you DO need a new transaxle." I informed them that somebody else would be doing that work, paid the bill, and left.I can only conclude that that the brake work was a totally fabricated, unnecessary repair they did to improve their cash flow in these hard times. Nonetheless, I consider this out and out (though probably unprovable) fraud, so I would recommend AGAINST anyone making use of this company's services.

PURCHASED OR LEASED A NEW OR USED VEHICLE AT any Toyota Dealership in the last 7 years!!!!!!
GUESS WHAT? Your I.D. (personal identification) is in what's called a 'Deal Jacket' at the Toyota dealership where you purchased your vehicle. Inside this 'Deal Jacket' there is a copy of your driver's license, a copy of your insurance card, a credit application with ALL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION like- Social security number, date of birth, where you work, montly income, credit card info (for some), address, and all things necessary to OBTAIN CREDIT!!!!
GUESS WHAT SOMEONE COULD DO at this Toyota dealership?
ANSWER: They COULD either take this info, or even simply MAKE COPIES of all your PERSONAL INFORMATION, & then SELL IT, or USE IT to DEFRAUD YOU!!!
If you believe that this is 'far-fetched', and could never happen to you, then you certainly haven't been paying attention to what's happening in the USA.
Times are TOUGH at Toyota dealerships! I know what kind of people work at these dealerships! MANY are among the most DECEPTIVE, MANIPULATIVE, & EVIL people you could ever imagine. Most of them are employed as MANAGERS!!!
Managers have ACCESS to your files.
You might want to go into the Toyota dealership & see where your PERSONAL INFORMATION is being kept. And keep in mind- ANYONE could be a potential threat in taking YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION & using it!
DON'T TRUST ANYONE in this COUNTRY, except for Andrew Cuomo, the Attorney General of New York. He seems to be the ONLY PERSON in the USA who is 'for' the PEOPLE of this country.
WELCOME TO AMERICA- IN FRAUD WE TRUST!

It was posted last year, in regards to Toyota's DEFECTIVE vehicles & their President, Katsuaki Watanabe, who was REMOVED from his position in January 2009.
Please don't confuse 'SLUDGE POEM 2' with 'SLUDGE POEM'.
SLUDGE POEM was posted first on 8-23-2007, and Toyota's CEO, Jim Press, QUIT his position just two weeks after it was posted. He resigned on 9-6-2007. You can 'Google' this- JIM PRESS, and read about it at the Bloomberg.com site.
The President of Toyota, Katsuaki Watanabe, was REMOVED from his position in January, about 14 months after SLUDGE POEM 2 was posted.
WRITE A POEM- THEY'LL ALL KNOW 'EM!!!
