I was a customer for over 20 years when Nash owned the business, but when they sold the place, the quality & the customer service went way down, and the prices went way up, a 2 pc suite was 7.95 now it's 12.44 & often times, the stains that were on the suit when I brought it in are still there when I pick it up.

I don't have the time to take back clothes repeatedly to get them cleaned? When I picked up my clothes the last time I was there, my ticket listed 3 pair of gray pants I only received two, when I called the next day to find my pants I was told that 4 pair of gray pants were there & that I could see if 1 of them belong to me. None of the pants were mine so, he said he would check again & call me back, when I didn't hear from him I called & spoke with Frank back only to be told that the system in place makes it almost impossible to lose clothes and that he watched me count all of the garments before I left? (Insinuating that I was trying to rip him off) Never mind the 4 pair of pants he showed me that he had no idea who they belong to? Great system huh? I ask to speak with the owner; I was advised that he is the boss and he had talked to the owner and that it was with her blessing that no responsibility will be taken for the missing pants, I then informed him that I will bring back a few items to re-clean (Once again) after which I would be taking my cleaning elsewhere.

If you notice the receipt that you’re given no longer itemizes the prices per item (Have you ever wondered why?) because the prices have gone up 30% & they don’t want you to notice, When customers notice they give you more of a discount to silence you. I am going to put some of my past receipts online at RipOffReport.com, Cityshearch.com, Google, and Yelp.com, so you can see the prices and the discounts given to silence me, when I went in last week I complained about the prices and was pulled to the side and given a 30% discount Wow!! Just like that, clear evidence that the other customers are being ripped off. I don’t believe that this proud Jewish community is going to continue to allow it self to continue to be ripped off; I have lived here for 19 years. Particularly after I pass this on to a couple of the rabbi’s I know, I am sure they will get the word out, there is no place for a business in this community the does not respect it’s customers, who do they think they are the U.S. congress?

You go right ahead and tell your rabbi friends. If they are as jewish as you claim then they will tell you that businesses that wish to stay in business have to make sure the capital they recieve is greater then the costs associated with running the business. As such what you paid IN THE PAST may no longer be relevant. SOme businesses will run into the red for longtime customers. But as there has been a shift in ownership, you no longer have that luxury and have to pay what EVERYONE else pays. All your doing with this post is defaming a business that is operating under normal business guidelines.

As for the extra pants, hey ppl are human and not the divinity that you think yourself to be. Mistakes can and do happen. But its a mark of YOUR character how you handle it. So remind us when exactly it was that you attained perfection? Oh!! SHOCKER!! You havent.

So instead of being a jackass and running to your computer or your "rabbi" friends, which I migt remind you that sounds a awful lot like blackmail on your part, you might try NOT acting the fool when you go in there. Its real simple. Take the pants back and show them they do not fit you. Explain that the customer that belongs to those pants might want them back. I have found that when you need to call a business out on a mistake, the best thing to do is act professional.

I had a issue where a mom and pop store had double charged me for a purchase. I know its wasnt them intentionally doing it and it was just a computer mistake. I walked in with my bank statement asked to speak with someone IN CHARGE, and explained the situation. The store was more then willing to own up to a mistake and I was a good customer so they just repeated my last order and we both walked away happy. I did not raise my voice. I asked THEM how can we resolve this issue. I did not make ANY demands on them or make any unrealistic demands due to the time issue. This is how it should be handled, with detachment. If you go into ANY business and start making demands and expecting them to be followed, then YOUR the problem. Despite the underlaying issue, YOU BECOME THE BIGGEST PROBLEM!!! So try and go back and let them make it right, atleast on the pants.

As for the prices, either pay them or go somewhere else. But you will probably find that everyone has roughly the same prices. Sure there may be a SLIGHT difference, but hey if you want to be cheap even your rabbi friends will tell you that you have to shop for it.

And no I dont work for them, but I do have jewish family members who taught me the polite way to resolve business issues. Also I might point out that telling them your going to make them reclean your clothes and then you will be going elsewhere is one hell of a d**k move. Sure youre unhappy but you pretty much gave them ZERO incentive to assist you in anyway doing that.

Wow!! I really touched a nerve! & yes my friend Rabbis are Jewish (In Judaism, a rabbi /ˈræbaɪ/ is a teacher of Torah) I would think most people know this?  I am shocked that you say have family members who are Jewish, and you don’t know this?

I am stating facts, not defaming anyone, if you want to address the facts I have outlined feel free to do so, but try not to get emotional. You're right people do make mistakes that was exactly my point to FRANK if they lost the pants that's fine, but don't try to make me think that slones losing my pants is somehow my fault?

My responsibility is to pay you for cleaning my clothes, if I write you a check it’s good, if I pay by credit card the charge goes thru. I can say I’ve done my job, can you say you have done yours? I think not!  PLEASE learn how to read, I never said that I received any clothing that was not mine? Stop drinking before you post, it makes you appear ignorant, I never raised my voice when taking to Frank, and (How can you assume that unless you work there or maybe you are Frank trying to defend your actions?) I told him that if the pants are lost then I will give him the bill and slones should pay for them (Which is how these things are resolved, is there another way?)

I don’t think that constitutes as a demand, I think that’s a call to action, I shouldn’t have to spend 3-4 days defending myself against trying to scam slones out of $125.00 for pants that I allegedly picked up, I mean really, this situation reached its point of diminishing returns after the first conversation (I know that’s a lot for you to digest, but try to stay with me). I spend more than that per month in dry cleaning.

As far as your experience with the mom & pop establishment, at least they owned up to their mistake, something you failed to do, instead, you accused your customer of doing something wrong for patronizing your business? Not very smart!!

Regarding the prices, I have gone to another dry cleaner who is not afraid to post the prices so that customers can see what their paying (They have nothing to hide), as soon as I get the permission of the owner I will post the name of that establishment, so that everyone can enjoy the benefits of fair honest service just like the old days when NASH was alive and was the owner of Slones. And why did you offer me a 30% discount with a promise not to tell anyone? I didn’t hear you address that.

And yes, you do work for “them” there are far too many grammatical errors in you post for you to be anything other than an employee, and thank for acknowledging you had to re-clean 4 of the 11 pieces of order that I brought in, I showed you the stains & you offered to re-clean them (Which again is the way it’s done in your business, you didn’t do me a favor) and the long ink pen mark that was on my white shirt when I picked it up (That was not one on the stains you were re-cleaning) only intensified my desire to post your behavior on as many sites as I can, if you weren’t incentivize too do the job I had already paid for speaks to the character YOU and the business for hiring you to represent them. I am going to get the word out at every opportunity.
