I recently bought a 2004 chevrolet cavalier from Smart Auto in Knoxville tn. We went through the sales presentation and then the test drive. nice little car. I just fell in love with it. We went back in and was introduced to the finance woman. As she rapidly went through the financial documents, we finally arrived at the question that everyone i asked prior to her refused to answer, how much is the car? let me stop here for just a sec. N.A.D.A priced the car at under 3000.00, kelly blue book priced the car at a little under 4,000.00. In both quotes the condition of the car would have to be pristine. After i do this, i will be the village idiot for whats going to happen next, so please dont refer to me as an idiot, when i know i have already achieved that level. Smart Auto sold me that little 4000.00 dollar chev cavalier(2004), are you ready? for 12454.00!!. I should call the suicide hotline! that was not the price with interest folks!!. That was the sell price, and then 24% interest tacked onto that for a grand totol of over 18000.00 when it is all said and done. When i get done paying off this car, i could have blue booked it 4.5 times. i was desperate and needed a car. Yes! shame on me, but be aware that the next fool could be you.

The thing about these places is that they don't put prices on the cars. All of the prices are based on your credit. What was 12 grand for you could be 8 or 15 for someone else.
