Smart Buy Furniture Ripping Off Customers with low quality garbage furnitures... Hialeah Florida

Smart Buy Furniture is ripping of customers with low quality furniture.

After we purchased our sectional sofa from Smart Buy Furniture in Hialeah, FL, within a few months, cushions started collapse and within less than a year, we had huge curves on both couches. Than the imitation leather cover started to crack and ripped all around!

We paid $380 for the sectional and $45 for the delivery.

We went to Smart Buy Furniture's store in Hialeah to find answers. After we show the images on our iPad, secretary called the owner and explained the issue. Than told us that, the owner is not there and asked us to email the receipt. We left the store and emailed the receipt with images of our ugly couch. After a few days, the owner of Smart Buy Furniture (Carlos) called us, claiming that our furniture has no warranty and if we want it to be fixed, than we have to pay $200 for material and $130 delivery charge ($65 for picking up and $65 for deliver it back). When we told him that we paid $45 for delivery when we bought it; he simply replied that he bought a new truck now and needs to cover the costs!!!

After negotiating for awhile, he drop the delivery charge from $130 to $50 (that means he was trying to screw us) and reduced the fixing cost to $150.

We simply refused to pay additional hundreds of dollars to fix their furniture made with low quality material. Now we stuck with a piece of garbage from Smart Buy Furniture. Please read all reviews before you buy anything.

Please know that there has at no moment been any threatening calls of any kind, as we would not allow such a thing to harm the company's character or morale. As mentioned, we have been a reputable company for 5 years with many satisfied customers. "We are sorry to see that such claims are being made against us for a dissatisfied customer, and that it has been taken to the extent of this result."

We apologize for any misunderstanding, however we have never had a warranty coverage of up to 5 years. In reference to your request for a full refund, unfortunately we cannot satisfy this request as per company policy disclosed at time of purchase, the sofa has been used for almost 2 years, and the warranty is no longer valid. The warranty is also considered null and void due to the the tampered upholstery.

We also apologize if there was any misunderstanding in the resolution process of this  matter. Once again, as in our previous notice and conversation, Smart Buy Furniture can offer a lowered fee of $80.00 USD, and also replace the foam cushion, as well as cover the customers delivery cost to repair the sofa. Please feel free to contact our Main Store should you wish to accept any offer to resolve this matter.

Stop harassing phone calls and threats to harm my family!

I refuse to get into dialogue with you after your harassing phone calls and threats to harm my family, by saying "I know where you live! Take down those f****** reviews or else!..." plus bunch of swearing...
We alerted the authorities about your threats.

Your claims are false; we never used chemicals or harsh cleaners and your offer was $200 to repair it plus $130 for delivery (you did not offer to repair it for $80).

And where exactly is stated Smart Buy Furniture "Warranty Policy"? Is it under the sofa or behind the receipt? Because when we asked for warranty, we were verbally assured that your furniture has five years warranty (not one year). We do not want your furniture in our home and we want full refund. Send a check for $373.43 to our address (since you said that you know where we live), than you can pick up your furniture the next day.

Dear "Chuck" (Burcak),

We understand that you have some concerns in reference to a SmartBuy Furniture purchased sofa.

Please know we initially spoke to the customer about this complaint on April 14th, 2016, about a purchase made back on November 28th, 2014.

Due to an expired warranty by date, and statement given by the customer admitting  the usage of harmful chemicals proven to damage any upholstered sofa, the sofa in the picture in reference no longer qualified under the SmartBuy Furniture warranty policy. Using any chemicals other than sofa cleaners may cause staining and/or "cracking."

Regardless, in good faith, management attempted to resolve this concern by offering multiple solutions, as far as replacing foam cushion and covering the customers delivery cost which is not included with the price of the sofa. Because the sofa suffered negligent damage, management also offered the customer a reduced repair fee of only $80.00. However, the customer unreasonably declined any solutions offered and insisted on leaving negative reviews.

We at SmartBuy Furniture proudly standby our products, and even more, we seek the customer's satisfaction. With thousands of customers satisfied within the last 5 years, we look to it that negative reviews as such do not taint the SmartBuy Furniture reputation. These resolution offers to this customer still stand and are open to negotiation to satisfy our customer.
