The other day, I found a sticky note stuck to the side view mirror of my car. It said, "Please call me about your car! 303 296 0809 MB." My car was parked near my office, in a lot where I park every day.

I thought, oh crap, somebody hit my car, and got worried. I spent a good five minutes checking my car for damage, but couldn't find anything. I wondered if something was seriously wrong with my car, or if maybe this "MB" person thought I hit his or her car. I wasn't eager to return this person's call without knowing what he wanted, and didn't want him to see my phone number of caller ID or, even if I blocked my information, to be able to *69 me. What if it's a stalker? Anonymous notes are creepy, and I was worried.

After returning to work from my lunch break, I checked around the parking lot to see if any other cars had the same note on them. I found two -- and then noticed that these two cars had something in common with mine -- all had cracked windshields.

I returned to my office and googled the phone number. It's an auto glass business! Some stupid a*****e trying to sell me a windshield left an anonymous, handwritten note on my car to try to get me to call him. This is shady and unethical marketing. These people try to get car owners to call by scaring them into thinking something is wrong with their cars.
