I have been a victim of this internet scam. I have done extensive research and finally was able to track down information about this with State of Utah Department of Commerce. There was a Media Alert posted from the State of Utah consumer protection division. And, a hearing was scheduled for Jan. 4th, 2007. This company has been sited by the State of Utah and it's internet company, Fast Auction for Profit for misleading consumers through deceptive sales practices which violated the Utah Consumer Sales Practices Act. You can find and print the letter by going to www.commerce.utah.gov
For more information you may contact Jennifer Bolton, Public Information officer at 801-530-6646 office. Her cell ph. was also posted> 801-652-8322.
To view the Statewide calender regarding the hearing go to

Contact person this site posted is
Tom Copeland, ph. 801-530-6601. I have filed a dispute with my bank, but I still have not recieved any money back. My account was debited for a total of $85.00. When I called the customer service number they told me I had to "cancel" my membership?? The representative told me that the charges to my bank account were not refundable, and that I needed to "Cancel this membership to avoid this "monthly fee" to my account. He said he noted the cancelation and gave me a confirmation number, which I have held on to, along with the generic CD, which I never got for over 2 weeks. The advertisement stated you had two weeks to review the CD. Well, I did not get the stupid CD until after 2 weeks. The postmark on the small envelope Did not show a "date stamp" for the postage. And, only a P.O. box address was on the return. There was absolutely no paperwork or instructions inside. Only this homemade looking generic CD titled Fast Auction Profit-Learn how to make money with E-Bay.
Fortunately they have been caught..because so many consumers have filed complaints in the past several months. This company is claiming they have refunded all the customers who called and complained. That is a false statement. Today is January 27th, 2007 and I still have not gotten my money back. I filed a dispute with my bank, but because it was a Debit card and not a credit card, I don't know if my bank will credit me back for these charges. I am waiting to find out the outcome. I have been searching the internet endlessly to find more information. So, I wanted to pass this along to others so you can contact the people from the State of Utah Consumers protection division. Maybe if enough people fight back, we can file a class action lawsuit against this company who took advantage of innocent consumers.

I have been on line and noticed about 3 new filed complaints against this internet CD learning how to make money on E-Bay.
We have all told the same story. Ordered a CD for $1.97. Then my bank account was charged %59.95 and $16.95 on the same day. That was "Before" I even recieved the stupid CD. I finally got the CD and there was no date stamped on the postage to prove when exactly this had been mailed out. Same as the other consumers I called the phone number and was told that I agreed to a monthly membership. I was outraged and finally the rep told me I could "Cancel" my membership. I never even knew I agreed to a "membership". For what? I have been so angry over this that I just kept on searching the internet and FINALLY...I found information form the State of Utah Department of Commerce. They posted a Media Alert to warn consumers that Fast Auction.com, Seoguide.com, and the true name of the Company is Smart Net Development, some idiot named Alan Dunn. I hope the people who just posted their complaint today, Jan.27th, 2007 will read about what I finally was able to uncover. I scanned and emailed copies of the letter and a copy of the generic pathetic CD I got for how much money? This company is still getting away this practice. Here are the following people and phone numbers you can contact on Monday. Jennifer Bolton is a Public Information Officer for the State of Utah. Her ph. number is 801-530-6646. She even posted her cell ph. number on the letter. This letter is official-Stamp and letterhead from the Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. and Gary R. Herbert who is the Lieutenant Governor. This letter is dated Novemember 20th, 2006. But, unless you live in the State of Utah, chances of you seeing this alert are slim to none. I just have not let up on tracking down the scums who have ripped off so many innocent consumers. Another name for a contact is Tom Copeland, ph.# 801-530-6601. He is from the Division of Consumer Protection Events.

You can view a Calender which shows court hearing dates against companies who have been sited for fraudulent activity. There was supposed to have been a hearing on Jan. 4th, 2007. But, I just view a posted complaint from a consumer in Illinois which was posted after my complaint today. And, that person is stating that this just recently took place. So, this company is still getting away with this horrible rip-off. Please, whoever reads this message. PLEASE contact the numbers I have posted on this site. I have filed a dispute with my bank, but still have not received a credit to my checking account. The very day I finally reached a service rep and cancelled this bogus membership, I asked the guy where his physical location was. Which City and State was he located in? The guy was so rude and said...sorry you can't find that out and slammed the phone down on me. I kept trying to call back and my call was never answered. I am soooo upset over this. And, the fact that they are STILL doing it to people. Even after the State of Utah posted the Alert, this company is still getting away with ripping consumers off blind. I hope they attach the letters I scanned to my complaint. Just go to the site Utah.gov and search under the Department of Commerce to find the letter I downloaded and printed. I am taking a copy of the letter to my bank on Monday. It should be enough evidence for the banks to see that this is a scam and that you were ripped off and it was fraud. I hope others will see this message soon.
