On October 22, 2008 I ordered the box set of Sex and the City for $125.98 off of the website www.Smartibuy.com. After I had received the set I started watching the episodes and found that 85% of the DVD's did not work. I emailed the company twice and after much waiting finally got a response from Linda at customer service asking what kind of a dvd player that I had. And to let her know which dvd's did not work and she will ship them to me. I responded that I was not sure why it mattered what kind of dvd player i had because on their website in bold letters it stated...

These are foreign manufactured DVD sets and may have foreign writing on boxes (note: the cover might not look exact the same as the picture above) and/or the discs.
These DVDs play and actors/actress spoken in original English.

Today on January 7, 2008 after I sent and email to the company that goes under another name Dealsworld.net as well as Smartibuy they responded by saying that they will send out the new dvd's the next business day. We will see.
