For no reason whatsoever I had my rate for rental increased 6 times in 2 years, I have always paid on time.

It looks like it's just it's just corporate greed. As of late it was a increase every 6 months. The staff on site always polite (just doing thier job)

I forced myself to move out 7-27-19 as another increase in the horizon, it was a hot 100+ degree day moving, which it is in your best interest not to rent here. It's not "SMART"

I had a 10x10 space for $175 a month, I got a10x20 space for $105 per month just 3 miles away. (do your research)

It looks like Robert works for this greedy company ??? The property was a mom and pop place when I first moved in there, the greedy corporate company bought the place to rip people off, I'm back to a mom and pop place that agrees with me, too bad not so smart storage can't handle a real review Go Figure !

Do you really think you will be paying $105 in 6 months? In 12 months? On average the price you are paying for the 10x20 is about 1/2 of the going rate. This means one thing...you will have price increases. That is how storage units work. They know you don't want to go through the hassle of moving to another unit (just look how YOU described it). So every renewal period you will see an increase in rent by a certain percentage.

I would be willing to bet if you stay at this place, that by about 2 years you will be paying at least double what you are paying now. The only way you are going to guarnatee a rate is by signing a long term lease. But after that lease don't expect the price to remain the same.

One other thing, let's say you were paying $100/month. You have now paid $2400 for storage, and figuring you aren't leaving anytime soon you will be paying another $100/month for the next year. If you were to inventory everything you had in there today...how much would it cost to replace it? If you are like most people, you are probably paying significantly more than the items are worth.

If you say it is "Sentimental" reasons, how much is truly sentimental and how much is you just don't want to get rid of it? Can you pair down to a smaller unit?

A 10x20 unit is the average size of a 1 Car Garage, more than enough to fit the contents of an entire multi room house.  If this is what the new storage location proposed to you from a 10x10 unit...they saw you coming, and we will see you in a few months complaining about their price increases.
