Smc deceiving,rude,lying,stealing,company California
I am a honest hard working woman, who was just looking for a way to make some extra money from home. when I Happened to see a SMC commercial on t.v.. So I Ordered the Info about the business. I received the free information a week later. It looked good but I still wasn't sure about it. Then a few days later I got a call from a lady (whose name is lorie)from SMC.she was trying to get me to go ahead and buy a membership for $$315 dollars I told her that I did not have that kind of money at one time. so she said that they had a program that would take 39.95 a month.so I agreed to it.......
Then a few days later I got a call from lorie who said I ACCIDENTALLY swiped your account for $315. I STAYED CALM but I told her she needed to fix it ,because it put me in overdraft with my bank, and to call me when she did. so she called me back and told me that it was all taken care of and the extra money she took would be back in my bank in 3-5 business days.she also said if I had any problem or overdraft fees that she would take care of IT.Then she said not to talk to anyone else but her. and she gave me her direct line phone number.
I waited a week and my account was still negative. so I called the company cause I did not want to talk to her and they said tha they have no records of her ever trying to put the money back. but they did see that she took the wrong amount. so I told them to cancel everything and give me all my money back........
They gave me everything but my $39.95 back. because the membership package was in th process of being shipped to my house. They said I had mail a letter of cancellation within 30 days. well mail takes forever and they had so many addresess that I didn't know where to mail it. So I called the company trying to see if there was another way to send it, and the lady finally let me have a fax number that they dont let the public know about unless you hound them.
So I faxed It. only God knows if I'll get it back, I pray I do.
So I canceled my card because who knows what they will do.
So to anyone who just read this DONT DO IT. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE.

Never Use A Debit Card For Online Transactions
#2Consumer Suggestion
Mon, December 04, 2006
Using a debit card, or giving your bank account info for automatic withdrawal, for online transactions is too dangerous to be worth it. With a credit card, at least it's not your actual bank account. You can get over the limit fees and all, but it's NOT your actual cash on hand at risk.
If you want to dispute the charge on a CREDIT CARD, you don't have to pay the amount in dispute, until the dispute is resolved NOT in your favor, if that's the result.
Resolving disputes that involve your bank account are a lot harder, because you need that cash, immediately. If there's anything but 100% cooperation from the vendor and your bank, it's most likely going to take awhile to get the cash back in your account, which leads to further problems.
If you can't get a credit card for online purchase use only, I just wouldn't buy online until you can get one.
Putting your cash at risk like this is too dangerous.
