I had the AmeriPlan Discount Plan and Delta Dental Insurance when I had dental work done at the SmileCare Dental Group who was an AmeriPlan and Delta Dental provider. They stated I could use both plans, so I drove an hour each visit to get to their office.

A year after the work was done I began receiving bills for $677.50. I saw one office manager who sent in a memo to the home office to cancel the amount owing. Another manager stated I should have been able to use both plans. I continued to receive the bills. I then called the SmileCare home office and was told I could not use both plans.

AmeriPlan stated the insurance company could change their mind and there was nothing they could do.

I am contesting that I owe any further amount. The dental work was poor and needs to be replaced.

Don 't trust the AmeriPlan providers or SmileCare!!! They are a Rip-off.
