Smith Company Motor Cars Ripped off by a dishonest dealership Charleston West Virginia
The following story takes place between October 2007 and March 2008
I advise NO ONE to buy, or service their vehicles at Smith Company Motor Cars.
I drove a Mercedes Benze CLK 500. I live 2 hours away from them, and they are the closest dealer and service center to me. I had purchased 4 brand new racing tires from my Sears (1 hour away from me). Since this Sears is honest, they told me they could not align it.
I got my car aligned at Smith Motors and shortly after realized they had not aligned it at all. I took it back to get re-aligned, and they told me I had bought cheap tires that could not be aligned. I took it back to Sears to find that I needed new tires on the rear. Thank goodness Sears was cooperative about pro-rating the tires and really helping me out.
I once again took my car back to get aligned, same thing AGAIN. In the mean time I'm having my oil and other services provided by this dealership, so I am paying for other work. On top of this, the attitude of "the" service dept manager was very snotty.
The dealership in Fort Lauderdale, where I purchased the car told me my wheels were practically square and this could only happen if my car had fallen off the rack...ok, well...
When I took my car to Lexington, Ky to get yet another set of more expensive tires that I bought back at the original Sears. My rear tires were completely aligned at an angle tilting in towards the car. I ended up spending over 3500 in tires, plus gas, plus time wasted...as well as having other problems happen after I had my car service at Smith Motors
I also know for a fact that they sell wrecked cars and lie about it, and have almost lost their license with Jaguar. Their sticker prices are well exagerated.
