I ordered a Motherboard/CPU/Heatsink combo from these guys in California, and when the parts finally came, I was really psyched. I had just gotten a GeForce 4 and an extra 128 MB SDRAM DIMM to beef up from a 500mhz K6 (wimpy). So, I install everything properly, and...nothing. Wouldn't post, gave me a "video card seated bad" beep code. Anyways, sent this chip back, after more than 2 weeks, I finally get a new chip back, this one still wont POST, but no beeps. So, I try my friend's Duron in the board (twice) and it runs fine...then we try his newer XP 1700+ and it runs fine. So I'm like "What the hell." I've upgraded my bios, I got an AMD approved 400W power supply, I'm running a GeForce 4, and everything else that's not onboard i've moved from my old computer (RAM, HDD, Floppy, CDROM). I'm calling tomorrow for a refund on my chip so I can get an XP. I've spent over a month and a half trying to troubleshoot this and I'm sick of this.
