Sms4GameCheats.com RIP OFF - Texted my cell phone when I never gave my number on their site or any other! Denver Colorado
Today I received four different text messages on my cell phone from this company (showed from 995-02). I do not have texting on my cell phone, and am a savvy internet user who would never put my cell number on any website. Judging from the report above, it seems that someone else put my cell phone number in, either out of ignorance, a mistake, or meanness. Either way, I get charged $.20 per text message so I am out $1.00 there, not to mention the charge to my cell phone bill.
When I found the text messages, I entered "STOP" and then called the telephone number to demand a refund. The lady I spoke with claimed they could not credit my phone bill and would send me a check in two weeks. After demanding her address (the most I could ever get out of her was "metro Denver area") and an email (support@helpdeskconnect.com - I also found another email on the website itself: support@sms4gamecheats.com), I gave her my mailing address. I also called Alltel, my cell phone provider, and told them I refused to pay any charges from this company. We will have to see how it turns out.
Like the poster above, I am stunned at the ease with which these people can wreak havoc in your life when you have done nothing wrong. I do plan on finding out more about this and complaining to anyone and everyone I can find.
