snagajob.com Snagajob is postin job openings for jobs that don't exist!! Internet
was unemployed for a few months and I had signed up for a few internet-based employment service companies so that I wouldn't miss any oppurtunities. One of these companies was Snagajob.com. I would get emails every couple days with jobs I may be interested in. Though I found a job through a different source, I didn't stop the emails because I still had a few friends and family were still unemployed.
Well, yesterday I got a notification of a job with a retail store called Michaels that I thought my mother would be interested in. When I called her, she told me the location that the job was supposedly at had been closed for several months. I did some research and sure enough, not only was that store closed, Michael's was not even hiring in my state!! Snagajob's websited listed nearly a dozen jobs in Michigan but in reality there were actually none!
There is no good explaination for this, this company is very likely up to no good. I hope they pay for preying on the poor people who have just fallen on hard times due to a rough economy!!

And when you fill these applications out, they don't go to the companies. What they are up to is selling your personal information to spammers. It is extremely deceitfull and you said it! They are preying on the unemployed in their hardest times. Out of my 20 plus apps. with them, I have not gotten a single call or e-mail to be interviewed or anything. These jobs don't exist and I really had my hopes up. Now I have to sit here and wonder who has all of my personal information. This is a very thing to contemplate.

UH, THE STORE IS OPENING SOON? THEN WHY DID YOU DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICE SCAMMERS LIST THIS AS A CURRENT JOB?
You list AVON as a job. Avon is not a job. It is another MLM scam and if a person can get it to work, it takes a long time, if ever, to make any significant money.
SNAG A JOB is little more than a front for other scams, like government grants and to lure people into online schools for 'degrees'. People need jobs NOW. They don't want to wade through non-existent, redundant job postings, which comprise the entirety of jobs on your updates. They don't have the money for new degrees. Even if they got the degree, a zillion other people are in the job market for jobs from that degree. SCAM SCAM SCAM. SHAMELESS.
Posting your resume there might be dangerous as they can also steal your identity with just your name, address and phone number. They also ask for your AGE and this is illegal. The whole outfit needs to bomb out!
I followed up on one of your 'jobs' and that was enough for me. You and Jobs.com are LOCKED from my email!

Hi - I'm Stef from SnagAJob.com.
Sorry you ran into some trouble. Michael's is a client of ours and is indeed hiring in Michigan through our site - however, we noticed that we currently have no job postings listed in your township.
We do however have a job posting for a Michael's that is re-opening near-by. I'm guessing that's the posting you saw and told your mother about. The store is not currently open, but they are opening soon and need to hire people now. If your mother would like to apply, encourage her to sign up on SnagAJob.com and create an application.
If you're still having trouble, feel free to contact us at 1-866-227-1995. We'd be happy to help you out.
