Subsequent to my job interview, I contacted "SnatchThat" (now known as "Chrilo") at 407.922.8856 to inquire as to why I hadn't been contacted to come in & begin work, as I had been advised during my interview with Nick that I would be contacted the following Monday to come in & become acclimated with my work enviornment (after he hit on me).  When I called, I spoke to someone who identified himself as Oscar, & who, upon questioning, advised that my being hired was contingent upon my purchasing their "SnatchThat" card during my interview - which I had refused to do.  Subsequently, I posted a warning on Craigslist to other job seekers.  In response, I received multiple phone calls from Christopher Dosen (http://search.sunbiz.org/Inquiry/CorporationSearch/SearchResultDetail/OfficerRegisteredAgentName/flal-l14000037773-0817abc8-c326-4a1c-a3d5-005ffac26050/dosen%20christopher/Page1) threatening to sue me for defamation ... even though I didn't offer my opinion or say anything that wasn't a matter of fact.  He never sued me.  Nonetheless, I removed my warning on Craigslist.  But I continued receiving replies (see below), & eventually decided to repost my listing that alerted other job seekers about this company.  Interestingly, they have since rebranded (n/k/a Chrilo), changed their phone number (their new # is 407 590 8849), & taken "snatchthatorlando.com" offline & put their new brand, "chrilo.com" online.  (see attached "whois.com report" for Chrilo).
In summary, I (like many other people) went to their office to be interviewed for a job, was told I would start working the following week, and was then asked how I preferred to pay for their "SnatchThat" card (it's like a coupon card.)  It was a complete waste of my time.  And if I hadn't followed my gut instinct, it would have also been a waste of my money.  They had no copy machine or computers (that were visible upon entering, at least), which made me skeptical.  Nick (again, the guy who interviewed me), asked for my drivers license.  He copied by hand my DL info-- rather than making a copy of it on a copier.  When I asked him whether they use Mac or PC, he said he had no idea.  Yet, he was interviewing me for the position of graphic designer.  The platform you're using is especially relevant!  Below are replies I received to my Craigslist posting.

"Unfortunately I had the same experience. I was excited about it, it sounded like a good opportunity, I drove downtown, had a interview, bought the card, have a follow-up meeting week, expecting to be told position is filled. It WAS SnatchThat. All they snatched was my $50."

"last week I had an interview there and was told I had the position. I declined the card when it was offered to me at a discount price. the whole set up is a scam. he is looking to get people to buy their.cards. the whole office is a scam. did you not notice that there was no name on the door and no one had a pc. didn't you find it strange that the manager had no office!!"

"I went thru the same situation as you. I was one of 7 at the interview and they told me I was hired and would be brought back in to discuss details. I did buy the card and have not heard back from them."

"Sorry that I ask.. was this with Snatch that?. I went to an interview at that place and all you are writing about is what happened.. I found it all really sneaky.. if so.. am glad you post it something.
this is for sure a way for them to try to make money.. Is insane that for order to get the job you have to buy one of the cards.."

"The same thing happened to me Friday. I did buy the card. I was told Id be contacted this morning for a second interview and nothing so far. I called and left a message with the receptionist and she set up a "follow up" this week. I am so confused because the office is located inside of the Chase building which is indeed legit"

"Sounds like SNATCH THAT!!!! They did the same thing to me!!! Made me come on for a interview, with 5 other people and made me wait over 2 hours. Only yo pill the old bait and switch on me "the admin position is filled already" HOWEVER, we think you will be great for events or marketing...., we recommend that all of our employes have a card!!!! NOT THIS WOMAN!!!!!! See ya, have a good day STEVE!!!!"

"Thank you for this post. I have an interview with them tomorrow and I very glad that I didn't waste my time!! I figured that they were a scam. Specifically when they emphasized, "if you have a hard time finding us..." Thanks again!!!"

" Exactly the same happened to me and the group of people recruited that day. I didn't pay for it but they called me the following week saying I got the job. Yeah right! all they wanted was to make me return there to snatch my $50.00
I exchanged telephone numbers with some of that group while waiting for the "meeting" and they said the same but all of them paid the $50.00 except me.
What a scam. You should copy your ad to Facebook.
Thanks for unveiling them"

"Went through the same event last week. I even received a phone call the morning of the interview , reminding me of the set appointment . I Drive all the way cross town to dntwn Orl . Had to pay gas , tolls and of course parking @ the Chase building. Arrived with four other folks all wondering if the job was a scam or not. One of the owners came into the conference room and started telling us about himself and that he just sold one of his business downtown . I found that to be very suspicious . Then we were all called one by one for out interview. I was the last to talk to them. And I asked all the right questions and was assured the job was for real and that this was no scam job. After my three ( 3 ) hours in the office and talking to one of their " Owners " And was asked to buy their card for $35.00 , I declined . I was also told I had the job and would be called back my Monday the 22nd . Never heard back from them . They also took a copy of my FL. Drivers licence..... "

"Would love to add to this anonymously.

I went in for an interview with 4 other people as well, went through the same thing except my interviews was very different. The guy who interviewed me just spoke about himself, what he did before this job, where he went to school etc., I was the very last person to interview. We spoke nothing about the actual position and asked very personal questions. The guy was charming I'll give him that. After talking for a while I was asked to purchase this card at a "discounted price". I gave the guy $5. That should have been a red flag that I wasn't going to hear back from them. I will say this is a very clever marketing idea but putting a bad taste is people's mouth. Great job SnatchThat! "

"Oh my God this is unbelievable exactly the same happened to me last week. Inclusive the guy Nick, told me very personal things as well. He was supposed to contact me Monday and I am still waiting. I refused to buy the card. This is so sad because they are playing with our situation trying to get just the money from all of us. So sad for them because if they decided to start the business in this unprofessional, in mature, dishonest and shameful way I can predict and forecast very clear without reserves the future. It goes around comes around. Thank You for spread the alert."

"I prefer to remain anonymous, but wanted to update you that I have had a similar interview experience to the ones described, I paid $50, and SnatchThat certainly seems like a scam, or at least an unprofessional company with sleazy marketing strategy. As a heads up: BE ADVISED, FORMER SNATCHTHAT! IS NOW UNDER THE MARKETING NAME "CHRILO"."

"I was too a part of this and fell for it! Haven't heard anything and now their number is not working! Can you please email or call with more details, I can call my bank and have my $50 back but the license thing makes me nervous!!!!"

perhaps you should read my complaint again.  i didn't suggest, hint, or otherwise allude to the card being anything other than legit.  you mentioned that this was an HR issue, and i agree.  the company and it's owner are responsible for misleading job seekers.  several people who were interviewed bought the card, were told they would be contacted to schedule a time for them to return the following week to begin work- only to be left hanging.  building a profitable & successful business is a bit easier when you don't mind taking advantage of people, intentionally misleading people, and are of the opinion that nobody else's time has any value.  it's easy to get to the top when you're walking on people.

i'm entirely unsure why you thought the condition of the conference room was relevant to this issue.  but, since you mentioned it: the room was small & it looked as if it was decorated by a 15 y/o girl.  if this is one of the nicest conference rooms you've seen, you're either (1) lying, or (2) haven't seen many conference rooms at all.

once again, my complaint had zero to do with the legitimacy of the card; it had everything to do with the company & it's staff telling people that they're hired - & then never contacting them again, whether or not they purchased the card.  in light of that, i don't understand what compelled you to write a reply, as your reply has little, if anything, to do with my complaint.

Before I start... I'm a card holder and one of the Vendors that signed up with CHRILO...

The people on this POST are complaining about not getting hired and this is an HR issue, NOT A CARD OR CHRILO issue or if this company is legit or a scam!!

Let me put this in perspective for the people that read this and use common sense...

"Living Social (a BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY)" has 221 Vendors and has been around for 8 years.

CHRILO has over 200 vendors and has been around less than 4 months & I see the vendors being added by the dozen weekly while I use my card.

SCAM...? I think not!!

I use my CHRILO CARD daily and it has worked everytime and the $50 I paid for it has saved me over $1,000 already in the 2 short months I've had it.  So to anyone looking to BUY a Chrilo card or to any VENDOR looking to sign up... I wouldn't pay any attention to this POST as it has to do with the HR department... NOT THE COMPANY AS A WHOLE!! Speaking as an owner of multiple companies it's sad how people lash out when they are not hired or scorn... Really sad!

You bought a card from the company in an interview use it... Make up for that gas and tolls you spent to go to the interview!

You didn't get hired, get over it and move on!!

CHRILO is not only one of the fastest growing companies, but most likely will be a Billion dollar company if they grow at the speed the are going at this point.

Figured it was time to speak up, since so many have no clue what the facts are about CHRILO and the people of their firm.

I've been to their office personally to sign my deal as a Vendor and they have one of the nicest conference rooms in Downtonw Orlando.  And it's the same one these people are complaining about?? Doesn't shock me when the same people are complaining about a tank of gas or .75 tolls.

Good luck Chrilo and I wish you guys all the best!!
