Socal Events Inc aka Marvel Executives - Deceptive Hiring Practices - Riverside California
This report is to help anybody that happens to google 'Socal Events Inc'. There was little to no reviews or info about this company prior to my 2nd interview so I didn't know what to expect.
Their hiring practice is to invite 100% of applicants back for a 2nd interview then send them off 30+ miles to train for a job doing windshield repair at a gas station. No hourly pay, no mileage reimbursement and 100% commission. No instruction as to what you'll be doing or what you'll be paid until you actually get there.
The job is presented as hourly employment doing events inside of auto related stores presenting various products. This is not the case at all.
I have no complaint with the actual product or their business model. If Chevron is OK with having these reps at their locations then hey, that's their business. What I have a problem with is the misreprentation of the actual job. If business is commission based MLM in nature then just say that. Don't try to pretend your anything special by conducting some BS '2nd interview' and having me fill out a pretend background check.
This company was formerly known as Marvel Executives. Unfortunately for me I found this out after the fact. Google their former name to find out more and see what others experienced in the interview process.
