Found a charge for $5.77 on my ban statement today. Looked it up and it was from a company called SOCIALLITY. Had never heard of these people, so I did a quick Google search and found MANY rip off reports in conjunction with the name. The company listed the customer service number of 888-628-6284, so I immediately called.

Was told that I was "automatically" signed up for their services when I made an online purchase. Although the man i spoke with refused to tell me the name of this mystery company/product, I imagine (based on my online research) that the original purchase was for a face cream which I only had to pay shipping for. Told them to IMMEDIATLY cancel any "membership" and return the $5.77.

Supposedly I have been removed from their system and will receive the money back in 5-10 days. Called my bank to report the situation and have been issued a new debit card. Moral of the story: DO NOT buy anything online that advertises the claim that all you do is "pay for shipping." They are all scams and they are GIVING AWAY YOUR CC INFO TO OTHER COMPANIES!!!
