We purchased over $5,000 worth of furniture from Sofa Express, including the DuPont stain guarantee. About 11 months after our purchase, my wife spilled coffee on the ottoman & chair and called Sofa Express to have tech sent out since the stain did not come out. The tech indicated the furniture was never stain gaurded, otherwise it would have had a seal indicating it was treated. The tech then went ahead and sprayed a liquid on both the ottoman and chair in an attempt to treat both, but ended up worsening the stain with further discoloration. When following up with Sofa Express locally and at their corporate headquarters customer service, their response to us was "tough, you can complain all you want, but it is not our problem"! They indicated they would refund our stain guarantee, but that was it.
