Software - HQ.net software-hq i did a search on avast virus software and it took me to their site and i entered my info for a yearly subscription for 19.99 on debit card. I only received a free version and was charged 52.80. Internet, Florida
I was looking for virus software on internet and did a search on avast. I was directed to a site thta I thought was avast and entered billing info for a yearly subscription. I downloaded the instructions on the site and found that I received only a free version. i checked my bank account and noticed a $52.80 charge on my debit card from SOFTWARE-HQ.NET 800-784-3167 FL THIS WAS ON 9/29/09.
I called the billing number on Friday 10/02/09 and spoke to someone. They could not find my email and asked for the card number. The person asked for credit card info ( the last six digits) and I mistakenly gave 4 digits which is customary. This person muttered (Go_dam_ )and said" you aren't a very intelligent man are you" and hung up. I was out of town so when I got back home at 3:40 their time i reached a recording saying it was after hours. Then I went to email provided, sent an email and it was returned undeliverable.
