Software Pros Scam; Fraud Does not appear Internet
Was trying to purchase Adobe Acrobat. The website looked like Adobe's website, but once I paid I was redirected to softwarepros.com. Automatically the end user is prompted to login and enter the "members" area. Once I logged in, I discovered that it was a scam as Adobe Acrobat was not available and anything else that was available was only on a free trial basis. Every program was extra money. Also, it says in the refund policy that if you login or download anything, you automatically forfeit your refund. How's that for a scam? Force the end user to login once they have paid and then claim that simply by logging in they can no longer request a refund. I sent an email to request a refund anyway. Oh yeah, I sent an email because this gem of a company lists no address or number where a live person can be reached. The number they have listed is automated responses ONLY. The return email I received outlined, of course, the fact that I had no right to a refund because I had logged in.
Why and how are companies still allowed to get away with this nonsense? This is Fraud.
