Solar Industries White Vinyl Window Discoloration Tucson Arizona
Purchased several Windows & sliding Doors from Home Depot which was manufactured by Solar Industries. We had specification for Aluminum Windows, but we were introduced to Vinyl windows by Home Depot. We were concern about using Vinyl windows in Arizona, so we questioned Home Depot and Solar Industries to get assurance that the white windows would not discolor. We were assured that there will not be any discoloration and Home Depot would stand behind what they sell. Unofrotunately short time after installation, they started to discolor to nicotine yellow color. It is apparent to us and others that fixed windows are discolored more than sliding doors. Also where there is more sun exposure, there is more discoloration.
Our plea for repair or replacement has been unanswered through Home Depot and Solar Industries and Royal Windows who is the provider of Vinyl material to Solar Industries. We are being bullied by large companies to give up our attempt to bring these companies to backup their product. Very Dissapointed. It burns me that in one point HD attorney stated: "You get what you pay for." Really? Is that the best response we can get as consumer?
