We used Solomons Mortuary located in Los Angeles, CA to have a relative cremated in early February 2013.  The services requested were paid in full before the cremation took place. We requested 3 death certificates and as of today May 23, 2013 we still have not received the death certificates.

Our family members have called the Mortuary several times and have been told that is would take 3 to 4 weeks to be processed.  After a month and a half passed and we had not received the death certificates we called again only to get the answer of 'it takes time'.  We were then informed on another occasion that we had to go back to the mortuary to sign the information for the death certificate again.

About a week ago when we called the mortuary to inquire about the death certificates we were told that they had submitted the incorrect paper to the State and that we would have to sign the papers again.

As you can see it is over 3 months and we still have not received the death certificates. The company's lackadaisical attitude and unprofessionalism is very disturbing and disgusting.  We have had to put things on hold because this company has not provided us with the death certificates that we have paid for.

If we ever have to use the services of a mortuary again Solomons would definately not be on the list.
