I purchased from Solutions From Science a PowerSource 1800 solar generator and received it in Feb 2013. When I opened the boxes in June and attempted to "condition" the batteries per the instructions, the batteries would not "condition". After the 1st cycle the batteries would no longer accept a charge. Speaking with Nick the tech support guy, he said it's out of the 90 day waranty and that the batteries "go bad" permanently after a few months on non use. This alone says its a JUNK product. This is REDICULOUS especially since the batteries had never been "conditioned" before. This product had to have been shipped defective. Replacement batteries quoted at about $250. They would NOT replace them or offer any compromise. TERRIBLE PRODUCT - TERRIBLE COMPANY. Buyer beware... lesson learned.

I ran across your complaint and after reading it I had some observations I wish to share with you. While I feel you may have some responsibllity in the outcome of your experience. I wanted to know why was the product not used immediately after arrival. As you know most products do have a inital 30 day or 90 day warrenty from defects. had you opened the product and followed the instructions you may very well have not had the problems from your batteries, Battaries do have a memory all of them do this is set by the first few charging and discharging cycles. this product more than likely was not defective as you stated. but your very own actions are what caused your problems. another thing this company is not like a Walmart with no questions asked returns. just this alone is a shock to some people. I'm sorry for your problems with this product. what dealings I've had with this company have all been above board. what products I've purchased have worked fine and arrived when they said they would. If you have not purchased new battaries and would like to sell your solar generator let me know i may be in the market for what you have left.

I have the 1800plus solar generator from solutions from science.   I call it Solar for Dummies.   We had a similar problem.  Our unit sat in our garage for a year before we installed it in our off grid cabin and the batteries were dead.  They would not charge.   The company assumed that we knew that the unit need to be plugged in to the house current to keep a charge if the panels weren't in the sun.  That is my only complaint.  We invested in a bigger battery bank and the unit works like a charm,  We love it,  yes it is solar for dummies and the directions are for techy's.  I would buy it again and have reccommended it to others, but with a word of warning to keep the batteries charged
