Sonic Electronix Sonic Electronics Disguised as an authorized JL Audio retailer but is NOT an authorized retailer Valencia, California
This week, my JL Audio clean sweep CL441 died. JL Audio's website indicates these components have a 2 year warranty but since Sonic is not an authorized JL Audio dealer, JL Audio does not honor their own warranty. Although Sonic carries a significant number of JL Audio products, PLEASE pay attention to the fact that only Sonic's 1 year warranty will apply, and not JL Audio 2 year warranty. I consider this practice deceitful and just want to encourage others to be aware of the conditions regarding warranty service. Over the years, I've spent nearly $1000 with Sonic Electronix but because of this circumstance, I will no longer be a customer.

We apologize for the confusion you experienced. We are not authorized with JL Audio, nor have we ever claimed to be, too. On all of our JL Audio items, we advertise our "1-year SonicElectronix.com warranty," as JL Audio's warranty doesn't apply: we don't buy from them directly. We choose not to be authorized with JL to avoid being required to sell their items at MAP pricing. We prefer to sell their items at the lowest possible price, as our business is operated on the principle of consumer value.
We offer additional extended warranties that provide more comprehensive and longer coverage than the manufacturer's warranty, which can be added on to most JL products for significantly less than the same product would cost on it's own from an "authorized dealer." Although it's not directly from JL, all of our products are closed box, brand-new merchandise that comes from authorized distributors. Unfortunately, your purchase was made back on 01/10, which is a year beyond the "1-year SonicElectronix.com warranty" we offered and advertised on the listing you purchased from us.
We can't be held liable for your frustration, as we made this information clear on our web-page. We hope you understand our intentions, please don't let this defer you from shopping with us in the future.
