I recieved a loan from sonic payday. I told them I would send them a payment of $433.00 on July 30th 2004. When I saw that I could only afford half of the $433.00, they jumped down my throat and told me they would garnish my wages, I told them to do what they had to do, I stated that they would receive the other half in a week, they were not satified with that.

Then they told me they couldn't garnish my wages because the company that I worked for didn't allow it. So why give me empty threats, when you come to me come correct, because I will back you up against a wall. I western union quick collect $216.10, but that wasn't good enough for them, what more could I do. They told me they were going to credit the money back to my account, it was not enough for them. Oh well, I tried.

....in Bankonia there was a such thing as "low interest." Everything was in harmony in Bankonia until one day the evil "DeadBeatese" invaded the kingdom and suffocated the providers of "low interest" by theft, empty promises, and deceipt until there was no more low interest left for the DeadBeatese...Bankonia had to force the DeadBeatese to leave. Fortunately for the DeadBeatese, the new kingdom of Paydaylendia was nearby. Although the inhabitants of Paydaylendia only had "high interest" for the DeadBeatese to consume...it was their ONLY option - for they had betrayed Bankonia and, for the most part, put themselves in the situation they were in.

In short...don't complain about the rates. Did you have a better option? Or, better yet, don't take the $200 loan...instead, NSF 8 checks with your overdraft protection, let the bank "loan you" $200 (or however much you overdraft) to cover this overdraft till your next payday, let them deduct $240 in fees for the 1-2 week loan, do the math, and then decide what your better option might be.

Thank you for your time.

How's that a Ripoff?

LaDeadbeat: "I told them I would send them a payment of $433.00 on July 30th 2004".

You didn't do that. How does that make them a 'ripoff'?

Perhaps you were looking for the "Deadbeats who have the gall to be annoyed when creditors demand they do what they legally obligated themselves to do" board.
