I bought a ReplayTV unit via Amazon.com with a promised rebate of $100 toward the purchase price. My purchase occurred during the valid promotional period. I followed all the crazy documentation rules (cutting up the box, finding the UPC codes, etc) and sent in the form, only to have it returned (unopened) with a stamp saying "promotion expired." After many calls, e-mails, and queries I was able to discover that there was some literally unreadable fine print saying the elaborate documentation had to be sent in by a certain date very soon after I made the purchase. So the "rebate center" denied my rebate.

Further e-mails to customer support have been ignored. SonicBlue insists my dispute can only be handled by the "rebate center" and the rebate center says they can only enforce the onerous terms of the rebate as established by SonicBlue.
I would not have bought this unit but for the rebate and am feeling like I've been abused and run around.
