Complaint Review: Sonrisa Chihuahuas Kelly Corrao Finnigan

I have been following this case ever since I came across it, and at the risk of offending a few people, let me make a few statements :

Red Flag #1 : Do a background check on Mrs. Finnigan / Corrao / Silber / Suber / Olszowka. She has multiple addresses in Mundelein, IL, as well as addresses in Deerfield, IL, Schaumburg, IL, Sunrise Beach, MO, Millington, TN, two addresses in Havelock, NC, and a post office box in Eastman, WI, not counting her ever-elusive current address(es). People move, I know, but do you want to do business with a fly-by-nighter like this?

Red Flag #2 : As far as current addresses, do you find yourself having a bit of a problem locating 'Sonrisa'? For someone who makes it their cause to give abused and homeless dogs a 'second chance', this seems suspicious to me. It's not easy finding a home for an older or sick dog; check the local humane society if you don't believe me. I have a Fox Lake, IL, Spring Grove, IL, and a Chicago, IL location (no address for any of them; imagine that!), as well as a Northbrook, IL location for her former mobile phone address (recently switched numbers, which shouldn't surprise anyone who has done business with her). Hey, some people have a lot going on in their life, but do you STILL want to do business with a fly-by-nighter like this? Every business person I know of who is interested in success gets their name and address out to as many people as they can. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

Red Flag #3 : Dog breeders close to a major city shouldn't have any problem putting an advertisement in the local newspaper and selling every purebred puppy they have. Why advertise out of state on the internet? I bought my purebred puppy from a woman in my home state who lived hours away from the nearest big city, and she had no problem getting rid of them all through local newspaper advertisements; every single litter. She had a website herself, but told me she would be VERY hesitant to sell a puppy if it involved long distances. Not one of my more valid points, I know, but still another potential red flag.

Red Flag #4 : The price. Between $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 for a teacup or applehead chihuahua? Check around; you will find them in your local area for less.

Red Flag #5 : Raised by the 'marsupial method' (patent pending)? Putting aside general health issues, you buy a dog for traits that are genetic (size, show quality, etc.) and behavior is achieved by training; how it is weaned isn't going to affect either one of these traits to any measurable extent. It SOUNDS like a scam to justify overpricing the puppies. Information on current patents can be found, try to find information on a pending one. So who's to say it even exists?

Red Flag #6 : Can anyone find any documentation on Mrs. Corrao Finnigan's Animal Behaviorist credentials? I have searched extensively, and I cannot. Is there even such a thing?

Every one of these points COULD have a valid explanation, but the fact that there are SO MANY of them should have raised enough suspicion in all of you to avoid doing business with her. LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

I was looking for some old co- workers and happened to stumble on this bizarre report. If this is the same person I worked with I can tell you from personal experience this is all untrue.
There are always several sides to a story and disgruntled people usually act this way. Its pretty sad, really.
I mean come on. Follow the tracks, names and it all makes sense.
She is a pretty, smart, funny girl and that is enough to drive others mad with envy and jealousy.

I know this person very well and I know for a fact it is a bulling attempt to defame this persons character.
It is pathetic and mean.
Jodie did steal- I delivered him.

Then look up her uncle Jerome Finnigan, ex-Chicago police officer. Tell me you trust her then. There are a lot of people complaining about her business practices here. When I came across the scam reports on her, everything I wondered about this weirdo made sense. It's all catching up to you, isn't it Chi-ney?

This is a person to watch out for!!!
Not much can be said but the emails and AOL message board posting from him to another but they will be posted on here shortly.
He is Nytecrawler, spookychick, Gusandpoopyskid..... among others.
IP's can in fact be traced and "over the top" threats have been made by him.
This goes back to September of 07' and everything from this guy has been archived and I ask that he proves his claims.
As for Liza- show records of emails, phone records that include this persons phone number....
This is a small community of Chihuahua people and for what it's worht I think all can sympathize with the "wrath of Jodie" because most know someone affected by her.
In today's society of war, natural disasters it amazes me that people can actually do these things? Karma....it's always out there.

Kelly, you need to get the police involved and before filing against Jodie and have the IP's traced. I don't have it now but will post the name (goolge it) of a retired L.A. detectve that will work with the police to track all of this. If you do infactr have the time, money, fortitude and desire- I think you and if there are others- have a great case.
Once you have pursued ALL INFO CAN BE POSTED ON HERE.
