Complaint Review: Bernard Shlitz of SONY

Sony/Best Buy doesn't live up to their warrnaty, frustrated in Haldane , MO

Last year I bought a sony TV at bestbuy in Haldane , MO. I bought the 6 month warrnty in store and the manufacturs was for one year. after 8 months the TV stopped working. I followed up with best buy and they directed be towards the manufacturer.

Sony passed me along until I spoke to Bernard Shlitz a authorized Sony rep here in Haldane. Bernard recommended that I bring the tv in for repair.

He knew that is was a 52" tv and that i can't just bring it in. So we agreed to have him come out for $50.00 after negotiating for 5 minutes this was a 50% discount on his normal in-house service fee.

After he looked at my tv for about 20 minutes he said that wasn't something that sony would cover and that he could fix it. It was going to be $600. I just paid $1,500 8 months ago for this tv. Was is going on with SONY. NO happy about SONY warranties.
