Being in sales, I depend on my laptop and the info I have in it. I bought a Sony and paid a premium because I thought maybe I was getting a better machine.
I bought this in August, and it is still under warranty. The screen went out on it, and I called service. I am now entering my 8th day without a computer, and am basically out of business. I am sure I have lost a few contracts in the meantime.

I called the Sony service department day 1 and was told the laptop would be fixed in "24-72 hours".
I called back day 4,5,6,and 7. "The parts have been ordered", "the parts are in today", "the parts are not in yet".

I think I learned a lesson in all this. let a local computer shop build you a laptop and go back there for service. Sony sucks, and I will never buy another Sony product. The only satisfaction I have gotten out of all this has been I went to Circuit City and have talked 2 people out of buying Sony, and 4 more in my office.
