sony lcd projection tv's have a defective optical block by there own admission, extended the warranty on tv's for those who happen to complain about sets to dec 2008, but did not disclose this problem to the consumers, and did not post this problem on there web site, contacted customer support and they told me they were unaware about this problem(have email from customer support) looking on the net for other complaints found out msnbc did an investigation on this, upon learning this call customer support and they could not find anything on this until i mention article on msnbc, and then they inform me it was to late, i ask for a copy of the extended warranty and was told they didn't have it,

i ask why wasn't the information posted on the extended warranty they had no answer, have ref# to complaints to support which i asked for the information but have not received any information yet. they happily gave me the number for there techs which would not give me the price for the replacement part and labor, ( labor and parts over a $1000 reading some others complaints on internet) main reason sony did not discloses to the buyers who purchased these defective sets. ask support why extended the warranty and not inform the buyers or sellers no answer.
