I purchased speakers for my computer that costed $67-$70. It included a pair of speakers along with the 15V adaptor (power cord). The cord got worn and I need to replace it so I contacted Sony and they want $64.95 plus shipping and taxes. Their request is ridiculous. I cannot find this part anywhere else. Please help. I have exhausted my efforts. I have tried to reach their supervisor but it was not possible. (And they want repeat customers!!!)

Look for a generic AC adapter

You mihgt be able to find a universal AC adaptor at a place like Best Buy or Radio Shack for about $12 - $15. Take the old one with you. The universal ones have different size plugs and support different voltage settings. They don't always fit what you need but it sure beats paying $65 bucks.

If that doesn't work, get some new speakers, prices are very competative now days.
