These guys are getting your name from email lists, so no double opt-in and sending a fake offer:

https://sosselfdefensetools.com/checkout/df-mp-solar-power-pack-charger-and-lantern/?lp=OTAxNg==&click_id=102c38d0af68ee774f2f89388570b6&AFID=Modaramo&SID=&utm_source=Modaramo&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Cont&prospect_id=

After collecting your information and credit card they then tell you that you've already taken advantage of that offer, FALSE, and redirect you to another one that you have to pay more money for.

This is a classic bait and switch.

The company, when emailed, comes up with this nonsense

----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi,   Thank you for reaching out to us today and we’re sorry for the inconvenience. Part of what allows us to provide special offers is the agreements that we have with our payment processors. These allow us to reduce our costs and we pass those on to you. Unfortunately those processors reduce the types of transactions that they allow through and we have no control over that. This is not a reflection on you, just the way their automated system works.

We have a sister company that sells many of the same products that we carry but in a one-time offering instead of the multiple smaller payments. Just go to https://steelrivercompany.com/ and use code OUTDOORS30 at checkout and it will take 30% off your entire order value bringing the price in line with this offer.

We’re sorry again for the inconvenience.

Jason   -----------------------------------------------------------   When informed that their switch isn't close to the original offer, they tell you that the system randomly rejects cards based on nothing. When I told them I tried with three separate cards, from three separate family members with three separate addresses and it couldn't be a coincidence using different IP addresses and computers that ALL got rejected, the customer service person just laughed.   "Haha no, but regardless you won't be able to complete any orders for any offers."   True, I won't be able to complete any of the orders for any offers becaue those offers DO NOT EXIST.   Bait and Switch is an illegal marketing scheme. They should be, and have been, reported to local groups in their area that deal with consumer protection.   Scammers
