Soundbetter No guarantee pf client payments, poor oversite of clents, does not resolve disputes, allows rip-offs of freelancers Brookline, Internet
I wrote three songs for a client that used Soundbetter.com. I thought the money was guaranteed for my services. Funds were supposed to be approved and payable through PayPal. At one point tat the beginning of negotiation the company even asked me to update my PayPal email because the client had chosen me for the project and "funded" the job.
After work was completed he client told me they would not pay me. Naturally, I contacted Soundbetter and was told they would check into it. Four days passed without a single update. I finally had to contact the company myself and asked

Soundbetter needs to learn to pay better and treat their freelance talent better! All client project payments should be guaranteed. Clients should put up money that is released automatically through paypal when the project is complete. Do not use this company. Run away from it like the plague! They basically support the predatory practices of con artists that use their site and prey on creatives. They don't even provide a way to review clients if they have not upheld their promises.
