South Bay Expressway Notice of toll evasion - payment request San Diego California
Received a "Notice of Toll Evasion - Payment Request" from the South Bay Exoressway, demanding $42.50.
I live approximately 150 miles from San Diego andI haven't been there in several years.
The interesting thing is that I still own the vehicle listed in the citation but it has been in "non - operational" status with the DMV for over ten years and cannot be moved, since it has flat tire and a non running engine.
I park this vehicle on my property behind a locked gate so it doesn't get stolen or vandalized.
Additionally, I just verified that the liscense plates are still attached, so they haven't been stolen.
Could it be possible that a toll booth employee has mis-read the liscense plate in the photograph or has inadvertantly punched a wrong key?
In reviewing a previous report on this website, it appears that the South Bay Expressway acknowledges that they do enter incorrect information.
