South Central Power Company, Ohio Over Charged and now has transferred the account to my barn account and disconnected power from the barn Lancaster Ohio
It just keeps getting better & better. South Central Power disconnected the power going to my barn today. They are claiming that I have not paid the bill. But the bill is $1641.63 plus $30.00 reconnect fee. Back in April 2009 Ihad the power company disconnect me do to the over charging for power at the log home. They claimed at that time I owned them $1209.94, $239.64 was for the cottage and I paid that bill, because there was a baby living in the cottage at the time.
So the unpaid amount should have been $940.30, before added the $30.00 reconnect fee. That $940.30 has grown to over $1600.00 in with no power hooked up. They transferred the bill from the new home to the barn sometime in May 2009 and when I called to speak about it, no one had an answer for me. This took place within 10 days after i paid the barn power bill on 5-9-09 in the amount of $75.04 over two months billing.
Keep in mind that this is the lowest the barn bill had been in 4 years. Avg barn bill per month $60.00. We rented out the cottage and the power bill never went over $110.00. When my wife and I lived there, the power bill always ran between $149.00 to $399.00, Just my wife & I living there.
The renters had five people living there and they had 20 year old appliances. Can any one tell me what is going on here and have you ever had problems with South Central Power. I have done all I know to do, BBB, Wrote letters.
That Ms. Queen needs to learn what CSI means. BEWARE if you are online with this company. Check and rechack your meter. Write it down and get outside help. Take pictures, Any how here we go again! This time they cost me even more time and money. I had all my meats and cools in the frig in the barn building and it is all gone bad today.
I will try one more time to get them to fix the problem and credit my account. If they don't come to reason with the matter. I will have to take this case before a judge to get the answers.
Oh! Don't forget this is a non-profit company and there is no law to help you. So fight, fight, and keep fighting for what is right. The best thing to do is check before buying or renting a house or apartment, if South Central Power is going to supply power to you. If so, don't buy or rent, move to another area. South Central Power has pushed us to the point, that we are selling and moving out of there area.
I hope this help you and we hope that you're problems with this company get worked out.
