There is a long story but here are the cliffnotes: -engaged with Charlie got an amazing estimate Charlie mentioned when he receives calls from lakeland or Tampa that he knows it's because his prices are so low. I explained my medical condition to him and he seemed concerned and genuinely wanted to help -4200 board feet at 5100, when I asked about closed versus open cell the price changed to over 7000 still not a bad price. We even went as far to get a quote to spray house, subfloor and in law suite I was still happy -I had Charlie and his wife Ginger King to complete the paperwork required by Lakalend Electric so I could use the city energy funding and this process took weeks -once all paperwork was done Charlie sent a new invoice and asked for 50% down I told him fine let's do it, this is when the shady behavior started. -Charlie told me that he believed the city of lakeland would not allow him to do his install if we didn't remove the old blown in insulation- the Rep at the city informed Charlie that was NOT required, I asked so when can we start, then he tells me he's "learned" more and we needed to have the insulation removed before he could start and he has a friend that can remove the insulation for .80 a board foot yikes and that he'd cover half the cost. - I complained that this was not the original deal, and that's a stark increase he replied that's why I'll split the cost. - so I had the insulation removed and it cost me about 1500 including labor I asked Charlie and ginger king to schedule service with no response. Now in all of this once he city agrees to fund the project they don't allow us to change contractors unless we start over. I informed Charlie of this -as of the 4th of July he stated they weren't doing the project even though I've had the insulation Removed and the house is hotter and my electric usage has increased. -Charlie used extortion and told me he wasn't worried about me complaining to the bbb, ripoff report, all the local power companies, Facebook, yelp, and small claims court because I was having a illegal addition added to my house (which I'm not) and having air conditioners replaced which based on code for non-incorporated Polk county Florida if I'm swapping one component for another one no permit is needed.

Everyone needs to stay away from this company. I welcome Charlie or Ginger King to contact me to get this worked out. I gave them 3 options - pay me for my loss in insulation removal and increased electric cost, fix the issue with lakeland electric so my funding isn't gone or do nothing and I tell the world the type of bad people they are. I will go to the clerk of courts to file a lawsuit for the insulation removal cost, my increase in electric and the 5,000 of 0% interest funding that I lost. I will also take out pay per click negative campaign ads on Facebook, LinkedIn, google and bing so everyone on the i4 corridor knows they are not good people. As backup, I have screenshots of text and email conversations with both Charlie and Ginger verifying everything I've said to be true.
