The service technician briefly examined and tested the electric downdraft range, finding it inoperable. No covers were removed, and no internal components were inspected. The technician mentioned that it likely needed a new controller board and doubted its availability due to the unit's age. He assured me they would check on the part's availability and follow up. However, when I later requested a status update, they changed their story, claiming the range was damaged by rodents and thus not covered by warranty. No mention of rodent damage was made during the service call. I demanded they return to show me the rodent damage, but they insisted on an additional charge to return and disassemble the unit, which proves they never initially disassembled it to determine rodent damage.
