Southside towing is all aout night time theft. Heres the get down.

They go to the larger apartment complexes and offer free security to the complex at night. What this does is gets them around the law that " an official manager or employee of premise musdt iniate the request that a car is parked illegally, to be towed". The guard is not looking for any thing other than cars nto e towed. No other crime is reported. He gets a commission on how mmany cars he takes possesion of.

The cars are parked in "temp parking" "future residdent parking" and hav. e een issued a temp parking pass. usually required to hang from rear view, or placed on dash drivers side.

What happens now is the part where tow truck comes in middle of night, gains access to inside of car, throws pass on floor, tyhen takes pictures as proof, tows car away, files report to police, and locks it in the yard.

245.00 for tow. 55.00 for police release. 80.00 na day storage. Not open weekends,  you can pay an 80.00 gate fee to some redneck fat f*** that cant put a sentence together, hes so rude he intimidates you  and tells you if you dont like it he will sell your car at auction.

Next you go to your office at the aparttments you live in. They can do nothing for you. but they allow these f**kers to come on the property to fish for money, you cannot afford this and its insane. Lazy apartment manager, do your jo and walk the property your self and YOU tow whats neccessary. You allow these f**** to tow whomever they want and dont care aout the well fare of your tenant. The tow company isnt a part of the complex.

Since when do tow companies have a man arie named Ivan touring property

I have just had my car towed for the second time in two weeks, by Southside towing in Orange, CA.

After the recent tow I have decided to put the permit on my rear-view mirror even when parked during the day. Every time I enter my vehicle I see the permit hanging from the mirror and have to remove it before driving.

I know that the permit was hanging from the mirror and informed Brett when I called Southside Towing today.

He had the onsite personel inspected the car and they said that there is no permit hanging from the mirror.

Then I asked Brett if they enter the vehicle when towing the car and he said that they do, in fact, enter the vehicle IF the parking break is set or if they have some other problem with towing the vehicle.

I know that my parkiing break was set, and that the permit was hanging from the rear-view mirror, so something wrong is definetely happening at Southside Towing.

In regards to the above mentioned complaint we would like to clear up some things. Security guards at the streams apartments are not employed by southside towing. Security is provided to the complex by the management company that manages the property. Security is there for the safety and well being of the residents first and foremost with parking enforcement being a lessor priority.

The security guards receive no compensation from the tow company or apartment complex based on the amount of cars they have towed. The security guards monitor the property and check cars for permits to ensure that the residents have adequate parking while keeping non residents out.

If the security guard comes upon a car that is deemed illegal parked they have strict guidelines in wich they follow. They will double check to make sure that the car is illegally parked and then they will make a note of it in their log book. They will then call out a tow company and also call the police department to inform them that they will be having a vehicle removed from the property.

Upon arrival the tow truck driver will meet with security and be directed to the vehicle that is to be removed. The tow truck operated will then take pictures of that vehicle to show that it is in violation. After taking pictures and getting required paperwork signed the tow truck operater will then proceed to tow the vehicle. At no point during this will operator open the vehicle.

Southside has modern trucks with all adequate equiptment so that they can tow a vehicle safely no matter what make or model without having to ever open the vehicle. For example if the emergeny brake was on the vehicle can be towed with equiptment to prevent the operater from having to open the door and removing the brake.
