Complaint Review: Southwest Debt Services

Wow...this diatribe is certainly interesting...! This is a couple of years later and certainly water under the bridge, but though it is of no consequence... it is my opportunity to vent. Primarily...there was plenty of immaturity all around. I appreciate PDog & Mike for not being compelled to drag the company through the mud. Not sure what P's reference to me was really about but I appreciate the fact that he did not want to trash the company. My biggest complaint is that I never received my last paycheck. At the end, Bryon hired a henchman and the way that was handled was truly DISPICABLE! I was supposedly their top producer (at least towards the end) and was even told by Bryon himself that I was underpaid and then he goes and stiffs me for my last paycheck and my entire book of business... I suspect that Bryon collected on my commissions but never paid me...This is conjecture but it is illegal to not pay an employee! In a Mormon owned (Mesa, AZ) town...good luck on the law doing their job if you are not a Mormon! No thanks! He will pay for what he has done. Unfortuantely, this is the 2nd time I have been stiffed by a Mormon. Watch out working for anyone connected with this so-called Church...They will cheat you if they get a chance. In both cases, I was supposedly their strongest producer but alas...not MORMON! It is disgusting to think that people of any faith would do business this way but it is NOT an isolated incident!. I know a LOT of people (literally dozens)that have been cheated by Mormons and Mormon business owners. Hey, Joseph Smith was a con-artist so why should anyone be surprised? It's indemic! If you are not in their so-called Church, and even if you are...you are fair game. I thought Kari was wonderful. She did so many things right and offered true professionalism and training. She is the reason why I accepted the position in the first place. She made Bryon appear to be better than he was... Sure...I bet I am the "favorite" that the guys are talking about but she does not deserve any of the critisism that she received. OK, so I was honest, reliable and truly cared and this is what Kari liked about me...so sue me! This is where their immaturity really shows. She was forced to be the "heavy" because Bryon was not a "people person" and Jason pretty much did not have the stones. Jason is SOOOO smooth but not the most ethical person in the world...AGAIN, I chalk that all up to immaturity. These were all young guys...in their twenties...what the heck should one expect? It is true that they changed the compensation over and over and over and every time it got worse. This is not the way to keep decent employees and perhaps that is why none of the grown-ups stayed. I was allowed to work at home so I sucked it up...but it was bilge!  Sooner or later these guys will all learn that you do reap what you sew! It was like Bryon hired his buds and he based everything on what basketball team they liked. This truly all comes down to Bryon being wet behind the ears and being duped by a "back-end" provider that caused him to think he was going to make serious bank on this business. They had a real amazon hottie that pounded on his greed button, and with $$$ in his eyes, (and who knows what else)she closed him. Because he was undoubtedly thinking with the wrong head, he fell for it hook, line and sinker. He was sold a service at a very high price that was sub-par, at best. They were con-artists actually and it all went down hill from there. He (Bryon)was losing his grip and was pissed off about it and consquently, his employees paid for his inexperience. He just did not have the maturity or the business savvy to handle it. AGAIN...immaturity! He suckered me and Kari because we are loyal, hardworking people. Shame on him. I think in the beginning he TRIED to do everything above board but it was DEBTXS that screwed him over and from there game on..."let the screwing begin". Dusty was cool, Mike had too much training from JJ and Patrick...well I hope he does well, he is a really good salesperson...messed up personal life but all in all he was very talented and had pretty good intentions. There were some real problem children with drug and alcohol problems, that in my opinion, were given too many chances. One of whom still owes me money because I felt sorry for him...mental instability and all...the military has had some real loose cannons and it is scary that he was ever approved to carry a weapon. There was plenty of disfunction to go around! People that came along later in the game really didn't have a fair shot because of the foundational problems in the business that only got worse. Bryon really leaned on JJ & Kari and really had no other options than to try to make up for his inadequecies by busting balls. Kari never contacted me though I requested she did but I think she felt bad about how things went down. I never blamed her...I believe she was left holding the bag. She is firm but some of these kids have some serious authority issues! Perhaps bad parenting? Bryon proved again and again that he was not mature enough to run this company.
