I was so excited when I got an office manager job requiring no experience. Then the scheme started.

It started with being promised a set amount once my "training" was finished, but while being trained I was to be commissioned.

Joe, Marvin, Amanda and Heather all made the "job" sound like an easy thing, never truely answering questions, avoiding anything negative comments, and side-stepping true concerns. They said that there was no business to business selling, no cold-calling, that we didn't need to be sales people. All of that was not true...is not true.

After two days of "meetings" in a conference room they sent two or three people, one "veteran", and two trainees like myself to pound the pavement. We went business to business and harrassed people in the parking lot. We were threatened with police and then told by the "veteran" to ignore those threats. (The "veteran" had only been on the job one week longer than me!)

I should have known something was up when during the phone information I was told the company name was Southwest Marketing, and then during the second "interview" I was told the company was MidSouth Promotions.
