I am a local business investigator privately contracted to investigate work place treatment and unfair hiring practices. Through undercover employment, undercover client relations, email and phone contact, my two week investigation has found some startling information on a company that everyone should stay away from.

Spa buzz, located at 1029 17th Avenue South in nashville Tennessee, claims to be a spa marketing company.. It may be labeled as such but it is far from that! First and foremost, their "marketing" consists of going into busy offices in the nashville area, interupting business and presenting a sad sales pitch. The "sales" people are sloppily dressed and are not tacktful in the least. They are frequently asked to leave the premises by management of local businesses. They enter properties that clearly have "no soliciting" signs posted. Furthermore, they sell these "spa packages" that you have difficulties redeming at local spas and salons. Leaving the spas with a bad name, when in fact they are a victim of Spa Buzz.

Secondly, they place advertisments all over the internet that they are hiring"sales team" members. They claim that this job pays $700 per week and promises travel reimbursement. This is false! They take these poor unsuspecting people, make them use their own car, walk into businesses with no training, and then do not pay them! They use them for transportation and do NOT pay them the $700 as promised. They are not reimbursed  for their travel as promised.  Furthermore, they refuse to give clear answers to applicants. They are not upfront and truthful with the tax and payscale information, thus forcing them to come in and use their car to take a "trial run" wasting the applicants time and money. When an applicant starts to ask questions, managers Jennifer Carrillo and Tera (unknown last name at this time) are swift to verbally abuse and threaten the applicant!  This is illegal treatment!

In short, Spa Buzz Promotions is burning the candle at both ends. This company scams its clients as well as its employees. The turn over rate is off the charts and professionalism nonexistant. Spa buzz preys on the victims of the current economic situation, misleads people, absuses the fact that people are desperately searching for employment, and makes money off of others misfortunes.

Please stear clear of doing business or working for Spa Buzz Promotions. If you have been victimized by this company, please post here on ripoff.com or contact the Better Business Bureau.

Good luck and best wishes to the consumer!

First off, ummm whoever wrote I'm a business investigator I strongly feel is a bold faced liar. I purchased a spa package to a wellness center about a year ago as well as some of my coworkers. I loved the place that I went to it was amazing. I'm actually a professional make up artist and I ended up working with spa buzz, just recently. As far as the whole tax comment, that must have been written by someone who has never had a job or someone who is not a professional. Most professional people know if you have a W9 you are an independent contractor. I mean thats pretty stupid if you don't know, furthermore if you don't do your research then I believe the blame lies in your lack of education. I mean give me a break many people use W9 forms! Nocompany is 100% perfect, but one thing I know is they do have great customer service skills which is hard to find. This seems more like a rant from someone who is probably either to young or inexperienced when it comes to business. Just a reminder I have worked with many companies who don't do what they say they are going to do, however I buck up learn my lessons and move on! This company rocks and I hope to work with them for awhile. Oh FYI, I dress pretty good, as I should since I do wardrobe styling, I went to a Fashion Design School, and the girl that sold me my package had some pretty rockin red high heels and great red lipstick, she looked like a little doll, I remember that from a year ago! Good luck, and remember we all have to pay taxes!

No attack..just facts!

You can call people names all you want. Why are you so angry and defensive? Hmmm...maybe because you are the guilty party. Spa Buzz knows what they do to companies and employees. Many have fallen victim to the poor treatment of Spa Buzz. Again, this treatment has been proven by reports, video recording, and other documentation and was requested by a person directly involved with Spa Buzz. No employee, former employee, or client of Spa Buzz could give any positive feedback on the "company" In fact, local businesses begged for someone to stop them from entering their business trying to sell them certificates and interupting their business day! So call names and whine all you want. It all boils down to what a Spa Buzz does to its employees, clients, and the discrimination of its applicants.

Also - there seems to be some confusion on the process of business investigation. I am a licensed private investigator. I was privately hired by a victim to do an investigation on Spa Buzz. No, I am not law enforcememt, no I am not required to report to any angency unless my client wants me to do so. The information is aquired and my client will use it as he/she deems fit.

This is more like a personal attack against Jennifer Carrillo. It is in the right category "LIAR". SpaBuzz has made many women and business's successful.

Its a private contracted investigation, which means they can report to any agency, consumer website, etc. This also means someone was ripped off by Spa Buzz and hired a private investigator on their own behalf. Just because one is an investigator, does not mean they only have to report to one agency. Have you ever heard of a secret shopper, they do a similar thing, only they are hired by and report dierectly to the owner of the business. Secret shoppers Do not report to agencies.  If you research Spa Buzz, you will find many ripoff and scam reports. Many salons, spas, medical spas, and former employees have reported being scammed by Spa Buzz. The Better Business Bureau has been made aware of their unfair hiring practices. I know first hand, what Spa Buzz is capable of doing to its employees and clients. There is actual video footage of these actions!  There is nothing fishy here accept Spa Buzz!

The purpose of these reports is to inform the consumer so that they can make an informed decision when doing business with shady companies.

Something smells fishy

Your a private investigator and when you close an investigation report, you file your findings on a public forum rather than creating legal action or filing it with the FTC?

Something is fishy here.
