He sido contactado por esta empresa para traducir un documento de 11 páginas en el ámbito legal y veterinario. El archivo original estaba en PDF, lo que impedía copiar el texto, por lo que tuve que rehacer todo el trabajo desde cero. Al momento de acordar el servicio, informé claramente al contacto sobre el precio, el estado del documento original y todas las condiciones. Finalmente, el coste del servicio fue calculado en base a la traducción al idioma de destino. El contratante era plenamente consciente de esto. Cuando entregué el trabajo terminado, de alta calidad, junto con la factura, no hubo ninguna objeción por parte del contratante en cuanto a la calidad del trabajo ni al monto a pagar. Con el paso del tiempo, llegó el vencimiento del plazo de pago, pero el contratante no cumplió con la obligación de pago y trató de negociar una reducción del precio a la mitad, sin temor a la ley y consciente de que esta acción es ilegal.

The original file was in PDF format, which did not allow copying, so I had to redo all the work from scratch. When agreeing on the service, I clearly informed the contact about the price, the condition of the original document, and all the terms. Finally, the service fee was calculated based on the translation into the target language. The client was fully aware of this. When I delivered the completed, high-quality work along with the invoice, the client did not raise any objections regarding the quality of the work or the amount to be paid. As time passed and the payment due date arrived, the client failed to make the payment on time and attempted to negotiate a 50% reduction in the price, with no fear of the law and fully aware that this action is illegal.
